Golemancer profession -Asura only-
Human-Knight? NOOOO humans should be priests, Sylvari should be dervishes, and charr Warmasters
I’d make a ranger if they let me have a racial golem pet

What does a Dervish do?
I’d prefer it was a mechanic, not a profession. Anet did Ranger horribly wrong, what makes you think they’d do a golemancer right?
I’m not in favor of race specific classes. imagine all the QQ about how some races classes are better than others.
Yeah, I disagree with race-specific classes. They work in some RPGs, but not for a level-playing field MMO like GW2.
Race specific classes are just not for this game. Defeats the purpose of an even playing field.

They were a guild wars 1 class that were warrior mystics, they communed with nature like rangers were were more mystic than hippie – they fought with a scythe and were based around the concept of “tear-downs”; they’d build up enchantments (boons) to buff themselves in various ways, and then they’d use attacks and abilities that converted those boons (destroying them) into offensive of defensive effects like heals, conditions or additional damage.
Quite fun in practice. In principle similar to a guardian, but instead of just mashing boons they had to think about when and how to use their boons as they could sacrifice them down the line for additional effects – or maintain them to reap their immediate benefits

Yeah, race specific classes goes against everything Anet stands for and is pretty much a direct road to having a dreadfully imbalanced game.
IF we are talking theoreticals though – Sylvari would be able to summon forth plant creatures and ride Moss/Oakhearts. Not sure what you would call it because you can’t call them Druids (since those are a race of once-humans who died/merged with the Maguuma a long time ago).
Also, the Charr one would really just end up being an Engineer – which we already have :P
I don’t want race specific classes. But I would like race-specific “skin themes” (not necessarily exclusive to a given race) for various classes. Like, I can’t play an Asura engineer because the engineering gadgets look extremely un-Asura-tech. If there was an option for all the engineering gear to look Asuran (similar to those glyphic weapon skins, say) I’d be all over it.
It might not work for every class, but at least some make obvious candidates.
Asura – Golemancer (thumbs up!)
Norn – Shaman (spirits for the win)
Human – Pirate (yarrr!)
Sylvari – Warden (kind of like tree ninjas with awesome tree skills?)
Charr – Ghostbusters (oh yeah!)

Are you kidding me?
The entire essence of the dervish was their devotion to the (then) five gods. They where the ones able to take upon the avatars of the gods (and not avatar of ugly bush like now but the proper stuff) and used skills like Grenth’s touch, Balthazar’s rage and so on.
“Serving the gods as holy warriors, dervishes stand confidently in the whirlwind of conflict. Martial techniques perfected in the deserts of Elona allow a Dervish’s scythe to lash out quickly at multiple opponents, surrounding the holy warrior with a swath of destruction. Initiates often learn spells of self-protection, prayers that rush a combatant into battle, and invocations that empower attacks with elemental fury. Masters of the profession can assume the form of a god, enacting divine will with holy blessings. Keenly aware of the conditions of a fight, a Dervish can reap great benefits by using multiple Enchantments. Wandering the savannahs and deserts of Elona, the faithful Dervish chants prayers to the earth and wind… and the fury of the sandstorm answers in response.”
You think they should be sylvari just because they got a pair of skills that are about brambles in them?
And meanwhile making humans priests, that is too say dervishes without the (un)healthy(?) dose of bad-kitten the dervish had.
Sorry but things to a tiny fraction based on lore but at the same time interpreted horribly wrong sounds so uncannily much like gw2 lore it makes me nervous.

Zojja is an Elementalist. She fights like one. Mr. Sparkles is just her pet. Most of the NPCs are outside the usual confines of class structures. No other Ranger gets a huge black wolf like Eir. Rytlock is the only Warrior to ever use a pistol. Traherne gets to use a greatsword when no other Necromancer can.
Dakka Warforge- Level 80 Charr Engineer
Xairro – Level 80 Asura Revenant
Sylvari Gardener and Charr Veterinarians
while I would love a golemancer class, the structure of the game does not allow for it.
They tried to go ahead and let you have race specific stuff like golems and plant weapons with the racial skills.
At this point, the only way they could implement golemancy would be with new crafting professions that focus primarily on crafting “kits” something none of the current crafting jobs do.
And there are some useful kits out there, I find the healing turret seed pretty useful at times and the golem in a box packs a heck of a punch, and those are just the easy to get and cheap kits.
In a perfect world each race would have there own craft tree, but a more realistic path would be to just have a crafting job called Inventor, that can craft kits of all things from all races, from asura golems to sylvari seed turrets and even non race things like the fire elements people LOVE to use.
It wouldn’t be as creative or fun as a “build your own golem” class, but its somthing.
