Seph Sydiari. Wanted to sound exquisite and special due to my Asura. A warrior with an exquisite name shows a great start for story telling =P

I like it a lot, simple, follows canon and implies she (assumed) knows what she’s doing.

Veeda: Synergetics graduate, scholar of Aquatic Ætheric Resonance. (Elementalist)
Zyllia: College of Dynamics Intellectual Property “Reclamation” specialist. (Thief)

I wanted their names to reflect canon as much as possible and was lucky enough to get single names for both.

Both names, Veeda and Zyllia, definitely suit. They sound Asuran and feminine both. (Also, I have a fondness for names that use uncommon letters.)

My Asuran ladies are:
Rrini – the most diabolical-looking Asuran necromancer I could create.
Quonna – Engineer, and adorable-looking in ways Rrini would never be.

i like the name Rrini i do like the double r in the mane but quonna isnt as good as the first one but still better than most
my asura is going to be Rác Ösni he is going to be a ranger (just incase anyone planning on stealing it iv saved it :P)

i havn’t created him yet because i am still trying to get my human ranger above lvl 30 and i just did it but i cba lol

Rác Ösni doesn’t sound…. near Asuran to me. It just seems far away from the usual Asuran customs of naming so I don’t know if I could really rate it at all personally.

My main Asura is my Necro gal, Ficca. Not much else I can say… except that it’s a bloody wonder if you can find the Asuran name you’re looking for without adding something like “Golemancer” or “Peacemaker” or such to the front.

Hence why my Ele is named “Brekkk”

I wonder if Ficca is fickle.

I think it sounds like a solid Asuran name, I’d rate it 7/10

My Asura is called Deroxx – I’m aware that one syllable is the norm but none of those I tried were available, so I improvised!

As you said, Deroxx does deviate from the syllabic norm. It has the common double consonant, though. The “hard” ending in an “x” makes me think of a hardy type of character, like a Warrior.

I really like the unusual spelling you used, Biohazard. It fits really well for Asura.

My Asura is a necromancer and is named Kierr. I picked the name in beta with very little guidance on how to name an asura, but I still really liked it when the game came out, so I kept it.

Kierr is a pretty nice name, I give it an 8. It’s missing that pop a really good Asura name would have. These are rare even within the game though.

I’ve got 5, only two of them with titles.
Aleator Lokii (You can look up Aleator, I wanted something unique as a title) – Male
Zaijj – Male
Meebi – Female
Professor Splynn – Male
Blyppi – Female

Zaijj is my favorite name of the 5, probably followed by Blyppi.

I actually like Professor Splynn the best, it reminds me of Professor Frink from The Simpsons All five are good asura names though! Which professions are your asura?

I like Yorgg. It has the Asuran double consonants, plus it’s likely the last sound your enemies will make as you D/D them in the back

Ha very clever name with the Lepidopterist in it, I like it!

My main is an Elementalist called Mini Star, the tiniest Asura I could pick. I dress her very girly in all pink/purple/girly colors and she has ribbons in her hair and a toy princess doll that is as big as her to waddle along.

Lol. Mini Star? Well at least it is feminine. It’s an alright name I guess for an Elementalist Asuran, even if a bit childish. So I’d give it a 5/10.

Hmm, it looks a bit feminine, though, as it ends with an “e” instead of an “a”, it’s not too bad. I’d give it an 6/10.

And about asuran warriors, that’s why I just have created one (haven’t played with her yet, though). Her name is Lwaxxanna.

I like it! I think it suits a warrior well.

Epic sounds great for asura, I would only double the “c” (but it’s just my opinion)

By my own mistake (you know, finally getting new PC) started playing in December when all the names I wanted were already taken I had to name my little engineer guy Tinkerer Mikk.

It’s a short, cute little name that suites an engineer asura.

I have a warrior called Gigarax! He’s my cute little bobble head warrior who flys around with hundred blades
I also have an engineer who’s focus is bombs an grenades and her name is Explosive Bunny. But she’s not meant to be a serious character

I’ll give both of those about 8/10 as they both are pretty fitting names, but lack characteristics of asuran naming conventions. :P

As for my asura, his name is Crayzz and he is a master of mechanical mayhem (or engineer for those who don’t like long descriptive names)

Kinda lame, I know. But there’s a story to it. When I rolled an asura, I got bored by the conventional race/profession pairings (i.e. norn are hunters, charr are straight-on warlike, sylvari are nature/life lovers, and asura are brains over brawn type of guys). So I rolled him into a warrior. As a joke, I wanted to name him Yoda, but can’t.

So it’s Yoda I am not.

I actually made a background story around such a name.

I totally approve of engineer oola. the name is 100% with the law, since it is taken from a NPC, and putting engineer in front of it is absolutely asuraish lorewise.

My toons all are asura, males always come with Kreweman as “firstname”, female as Krewemember. As example I present my male engineer

Asura Guardian, Kryn Palladium – I have a few characters in the Palladium family. I chose Palladium for the element and the “Palladin” reference. I’m a fan of the Golemancer Glixx post, they all sound like classic Asuran names!

I like the name Kyrn a lot, and the Palladium last name is cool. 9/10.

I have an Engineer focussing in fire, Her name is Frizzle Firecracker.

Frizzle Firecracker is pretty nifty. To me it sounds like the name of a mad engineer Asuran or something.

My Warrior’s name is Grimartan which is a combination of Norse and Irish meaning “Savage Little Bear”

An Engineer named Aliyanna.
She specializes in Chain CCing (upwards of 12 seconds) whoever my allies want dead.
And running away.
Asura are my favorite race by far, and Engineer is the funnest class. I love her dearly.

Haha, Tinker Bits is a cool name for an Asura Engineer. I named my Asura Mesmer “Ailomer.” Thought it sounded cool :P

I could see Ailomer being a self-given name, tbh. Although I’d have to say 7/10 – stylish, but not necessarily “Lore-iffic.” Added a mini-Warrior recently, named Sinnri. Darn Asura are too fun, they’re multiplying as bad as my Sylvari do.

I like Sinnri as an name for an asure, I’ll give it an 8/10.
Mine are called Thook (Necromancer) and Gromm (Guardian)

I like Gromm because it has a nice firm “umph” to it which goes good with a Guardian’s personality 9/10.

Thook I really am not sure about because I think that would go great for a theif name (Thook = Took) 6/10 for a necro.

I currently have an Asura named Romago (Ele) and Romave (Guardian)

Both are nice names but dont seem fitting to me. 8.5/10

Reesa sounds great for an asuran! I don’t know if Elmora fits lore wise but its a nice name

My character is an elementalist named after my self, Zaphain. I also have an female asuran engineer named Yukkara.

Your self-named Asura name isn’t very Asuran, but what can one expect there? Haha.

My current Asura’s name isn’t very Asuran (went with my usual name and hindsight is 20/20 I want her to fit in sobs) so I’m planning on changing it whenever they put up that name-changing thing in the Gem Shop. How does Firebringer Azzla sound?

Sidenote: Still iffy on the ‘firebringer’ part, its a joke on how she is in the Order of Whisperers and how she tends to set things on fire, but it sounds off. I’m also considering using Pyrotechnist.
