Rate the Asura Name Above You!
I like the name Shenk, the eight I’m not so sure about but I still give it 7/10
Asuran Mesmer here: Mallet The Mad
as far as I know the only Asuran Robot.
Knight Templars
SoR Mesmer of Madness
Imho Mallet the Mad would be a more fitting name for a berserker warrior than for a mesmer but I still like the name, 7/10.
I’ve got 2 asura, a thief called Qom Quartergiant and an engineer called Tiny Pwny. I know, that last one isn’t very RP-friendly
those names sound very small- agressive asuras
mine is a necromancer: arakkne ^^
Arakkne reminds me of Arrakis, so instant win in my book (lol). 9/10
Kolt (Forty-five), the Asura Thief.
[NEX]
#swaguuma
Arakkne reminds me of Arrakis, so instant win in my book (lol). 9/10
Kolt (Forty-five), the Asura Thief.
8/10 if you use pistols…..
My engineer: Dr Hoppenheimer
Dr Hoppenheimer – Engi / Meowzir – Guard /
Mulcibur Nox – Ele / Mr Directed – Mes
9/10. Really like the “Dr.” part. I’m considering making another Asura just to name it “_______ Ph D” xD
My thief asura: Djankko
Love the name ‘Djankko’ reminds me from a movie called ‘Django Unchained’.
I give the name a 8.5/10 d(^.^)b
My Asura names are:
Male Guardian: Zyram
Female Warrior: Nyxxey (wanted to call it Nexxey but that one was allready in use)
Male Thief: Dirxx
Female Mesmer: Lyxazz
Male Elementalist: Firre Dicerr (Don’t like this name, not that Asura like. I’d change it if I can ^^)
Fluttershy #1 :)
My Asura…
Male Necromancer named Boanzz
Female Elementalist named Suruu
Well, I’ll do the favor rating the TWO previous post since we don’t want anyone lonely! Zyram sounds cool and lore friendly but my fav is Nyxxey (I actually like it even more so than Nexxey Just sayin’)
As for boanz its decent, yea Suruu reminds me of star trek… Which is never a good thing since I’m a star wars fan! >:d
My Elementalist: Frinkles
My Mesmer: Sprinkles
Just.. imagine this when the [Destroyer of Worlds] title comes out.. eventually >.<
If Frinkles and Sprinkles are not twins or even family members then I would face-desk. On a more serious note, I think the two names are good -if- they were nicknames in a sense. For example, being their names were so complicated to sound, that they just simplified it so that the Bookahs can pronounce their names in a similar fashion.
Anyway! My asura’s name is:
Geomancer Kirik! Male Elementalist. He is more attuned to Earth as so suggested in his title. He learned from the College of Statics, and attempts to be humble and protective of his friends and krewe. On a side note, due to being connected to Earth so well; Air will always give him problems so no flinging pepper around him.
Sounds very Asuran to me. I do like the title. Approved, 10/10!
My Asura Guardian is named “Zhangrib”.
Nilfa, Asura Thief, Devona’s Rest
7/10, First outlandish name I’ve seen that I think I can properly pronounce. Im brand new to GW2 so I cant really comment on if its a fitting Asuran name or not.
My Asuran Elementalist I’ve called Karan Soban, though I rushed ahead and missed out ‘ii’ at the end making it Karan Sobanii. Would have gone with my usual alias Torvidna Melanna but I would think it fits the sylvari more.
I like the name Karan Sobanii, it’s very nice. My only issue is that Asuran don’t have last names. I’d say 7/10. Simply Karran or Sobanii would work a little better. Karran is a male name and Sobanii being female (females tend to have vocalized vowels at the end of their name).
I have a male Asura Engineer named Tehke
and a female Asura Warrior named Myjja
KAINENG
(edited by Behmen.4360)
Tehke sounds Asura when you say it out loud, but the writting style doesn’t fit the pattern for Asura male names. Myjja is mor in the criteria, but usually double consonants are for males. Anyway, they both sound very Asura and aesthethics isn’t that important. 9/10
My new male Guardian is named Vekk Mechabones.

My new male Guardian is named Vekk Mechabones.
First name definitely asuran, though last name is… Eh. Probably not. Still, given the warrior profession, I like the name “Vekk” (sounds very… I don’t know, soldier-y) and Mechabones would fit the guardian stereotype of being very tough and difficult to break. 8.5/10
I’m an Asuran Thief by the name of Arctu Spackle Yarba. Probably not very asuran-sounding; it’s a personal joke between a friend of mine and I. Anyways, hope it sounds decent enough.
Edit: oh, being a thief, he’s a bit more of the quiet type, but leads when he has to. Generally prefers to work solo, however. Would probably be considered more of a mercenary-type.
(edited by Arganthium.5638)
10/10. It sounds really awesome, and names that are jokes between friends are always good.
My Asura’s name is Toujji, and she’s a warrior. It’s a round about way to honor one of my favorite swordsmen, Tokittenou Hijikata.
Edit: It filtered his name. lol. It’s Tosh-and-izou. (take out the “-and-”)
Toujji looks great, and if I’m pronouncing it right, sounds great too. Fits an asura, imo. 9/10
My female asuran thief is named Jiffy, as the unit of time.
Reminds me of peanut butter. Think that’s a good thing.
My Asura:
Yeca – Guardian
Phint – Engineer
Zazraa – Necromancer
5/10. Three listed, so I averaged them.
Inventor Eks – engineer.
I love inventor names, and the real name is short and to the point. 7/10 :P
Wuffles Puffs. I dont expect a good rating.
6/10. Well, is really fitting for such a cute and funny race.
Mine is Oemegeh – elementalist. Bassicaly a pun from the spanish pronunciation of ‘OMG’.
Really like it. 7/10
My thief: Rakô
I think it fits. Nice and short 6/10
Although I prefer using a first and second name when possible and gw2 gives us the option so, why not taking it?
My Mesmer: Mushin Sundip
7/10
I like it. It sounds like an action. For example:
“God it was fun mushin those sundips,” but that’s just me. ^.^
I have an Elementalist named “Younn Hearthstone.”
Protector of righteousness and purger of corruption.
(edited by Sir Robindole.2749)
7/10, don’t think I can pronounce the first name but I like it. I quite like first and surnames even if it is against the naming conventions.
Ive made a new female asura warrior called Sobanii The Fearless, with no helm(ok so I hid it but still) and a greatsword. Started a old thing of mine when facing hordes or bosses I’d say “Honor the dead and fight for the living, for united we stand and divided they FALL!” as I charge them.
8/10, the name sounds unique and exotic.
So my main (Human Engineer) is named Khoshy.
So I decided that I’ll name my Asura Mesmer, Koshee.
Ah, a double vowel, very nice!
My Asuran Engineer is named Luqq. Though, I guess that is a very “masculine” sounding name, she is actually female, though a bit of a tomboy.
I guess the somewhat masculine name would work if she’s a tomboy. Is it pronounced, “Luke” or, “Luck?” Luck sounds better if you ask me.
My Asura is my favorite character. I named him Snarkkeh. I loved that name so much that I prefer to use this form instead of just, “Snarky,” like I used to. I like to put a little bit of strength on the “eh” part. So it’s pronounced snark-eh not just snarky. Puts a little spunk in it.
Mixaz. Asuran Engineer. Male. Adventuring Enthusiast.
7/10 for above. I like it, though the -eh feels a little in the way. Like it doesn’t want to roll off the tongue.
Mixaz is a good name. Exotic. Hume girls love exotic.
My name is Drunkinmunky the elementalist. Beer, dungeons and exploring. What else could someone want from life.
Tarnished Coast
I laughed… hard. Good choice, Paco.
I actually participate in a lot of roleplay, so I needed an actual Asuan name. My character got kicked out of his krewe because he was finishing other asura’s projects out of boredom. He didn’t take credit, but he did finish them. When he was kicked out, he left Rata Sum for Divinity’s Reach, and then through a series of events, he started a detective agency.
Name: Detective Hacc
Detective Hacc is a pretty good name, I like it. Plus, it follows the lore of azuran names with the double vowel. 9/10
My toon’s name is Gonnff the mesmer, it’s from one of my most favorite books, and it fits his personality quite well.
(edited by Dororo.7608)
I’m a fan of Gonnff the mesmer. Kind of has that crazy old man feel to it.
I have an Engineer named Shevanel.
I can’t say the mesmer name, but I like both.
I have an Engineer named Gizmo Jymm and a thief named Scavenger Croww
Jymm the better of those 2.
Durnik of Sendaria (my engineer).
9/10 doesn’t follow asuran naming conventions but sounds awesome.
Made a new Asuran engineer, Willow the Mighty. Was going to called it Willow Ufgood or Warwick Davis but both names were taken.
(edited by daver.8324)
hmmmmm… was she fostered by sylvari?
>.<
lol on the name alone, it’s grand. i love willows, so two thumbs up!
mine:
necro – Darth Muppet (childhood nickname and cuz i always have one…)
ranger – Pyxxyl (cuz every version of pixel was taken. ~sigh~)
thief – Leet Haxx
guardian – Frosted Miniwheat (wheat colored asuran with white spots and white fro)
(edited by Ent.1026)
I like name of your Mesmer – Psychosomatic. It make me smile. Also i think Pyxxyl is a lot in Asura style, so i aprove it. Leet Haxx sounds like something from Star Wars : D So its cool for me too.
Darth Muppet its like “come to the dark side… we have some cookies!”
And i have:
Necromancer named Feent (becose Feen is any evil spirit, and you know… necromancy : P also t give this name harder speling);
Elementalist named Vretch (becose Wretch mean a person regarded as base, mean, or despicable, but V looks better!);
I rather like Feent.
I have an engineer I named Katalia Ouhd Tsaa that I created long before I knew anything about racial naming conventions. All of my GW1 characters have a three name pattern and I decided to carry that on to my GW2 characters. So after reading through this forum I created a mesmer with the name Honei Higgs Bosun. (Her father was absolutely convinced she was going to be a male and had birth announcements made up with the name Higgs Bosun. Even now he still insists on calling her Higgs even though her mother officially named her Honei.)
Primary: Gizzmologist Saikka – Asura Engineer
Naming a tiny, tech-y Asura after a tiny particle. Fantastic! I likes it! 9.5/10!
I started GW2 by playing a Norn Ranger, then a Norn Mesmer, yadda yadda. I got tired of having to deal with thieves in WvW and not being able to hit them. I was always whining, moaning, and generally complaining about it. I figured, if ya can’t beat ’em…join ’em
Introducing my current main:
Level 80 tiny Asura Thief…
Crybaby Peepeepants
Introducing my current main:
Level 80 tiny Asura Thief…
Crybaby Peepeepants
Um…. can’t say it’s something I’d call myself. But to each their own.
As for me, I am Mif
Technically being a female character it doesn’t fit lore naming conventions, but for those purposes I’d say her full name would be Miffi. But since she’s Asura she cares about efficiency, thus she uses a shortened version because one syllable is 50% more efficient than two!
Under Tall – The name of my female guardian
I like Mif, short and efficient is good— easy to shout across a lab full of explosions amidst all sorts of chaos!
Under Tall kinda makes me think of something tall, though, like anybody else you see is under you and you’re tall?
My Asura is Professor Flapjacks, because any starving grad student has eaten more than their fair share of pancakes!!
Love the name “Professor Flapjacks”! Definitely fits to an Asura, reminding me of an absent minded professor always going through all new formulas in his head while completly disregarding everything else and +1 for that awesome mini story behind the name :>
My own little fellow, an engineer called “Sirion Fizzlegear”. He’ll blow your mind ^^ No, seriously.. you’d better step back before he turns on one of his new creations.
Hmm..Sure why not?
Name: Zarlk
Profession: Ranger
Pet: Mister Cuddles(a Lynx)
Zarlk level 80 Ranger
Descendants of Honor [DH]
Hmm..Sure why not?
Name: Zarlk
Profession: Ranger
Pet: Mister Cuddles(a Lynx)
Not bad, it fits the lore.
My mesmer: Deluzio
My ele: The Asurnator
Quickblade Vince – Thief
The Asurnator – Elementalist
Asurnator – Not sure if this is in keeping with the Asura naming policy lol 5/10
Deluzio – as ablove, but i like the name 7/10
I have a female ele by the name of Chlojja (daughters name is chloe)
Live and die on this day. Live and die on this day.”
Chlojja — Very similar to everyone’s favorite, Zojja. I like it.
Although I love my Guardian: Dorra the Destroyer.
lol i like that ^^^ thats a good name
Live and die on this day. Live and die on this day.”
