7/10 Its a nice name, sounds ok when pronouced, Drobb alone could have been neat asura name, but im going to assume it was taken.

I have an Asura Engineer called Viirni

I give Viirni a 9/10. It’s a nice-sounding name, easy to pronounce and it seems to suit an Asura Engineer quite well, I believe.

I have two Asuras, who are:

Lunvel – My main and my Mesmer. I made his name up from combining ‘velut luna’ which is Latin for ‘like the moon.’ One reason being for the Mesmer’s illusion ability reminding me of the idea of mirrors and how the moon is often described as one. The second reason is because I love the Carmina Burana…

Ginsi – My Elementalist, who leans more towards using fire-based skills. Her name is basically an anagram of ‘Ignis.’

8/10 I like the sound of both, but they don’t have a double-vowel or consonant. I like the idea behind the Mesmer’s name.

Nanooxa From a joke name suggested to me in GW nano ox…. and from there I made Nanooxa in GW and continued the tradition in GW2

I couldn’t think of a good asura name, so I named my thief Silent Deadly Kills

Okay. It isn’t pertaining to an asura, but then again, mine isn’t either, so I can’t say anything.

But eh some names sound kinda cool, some of mine sound like modern names.

I really dig Tess Kelas as an asuran name. Carroxes and Leroxes are neat as well. I have no idea of their back story, but I picture them as team of close siblings who bicker and disagree on everything (Guardian magic is about as far as it gets from Necromancer magic).

My asura is Docent Tanna.

The explanation: I wanted to have a unique title, and “docent” is an academic title used in some European countries. Tanna was being seriously considered for a professorship at the College of Dynamics, but was snubbed for the position due to petty internal politics. Her achievements were impressive enough that they couldn’t get away with giving her nothing, so she was given the title “docent” (permission to lecture, but only by invitation, so they can shut her out). She decided she’d had enough of Rata Sum politics, and decided to use her magic skills to adventure around as a Guardian. She uses the title proudly now, as she thinks it shows how much different (read: better) she is than the feeble-minded college elites. I’ll admit to flexing the lore a bit with the title, but I liked this back story too much.

My Asuran mesmer is named Control Alt Asura. It just had a nice ring to it. And yes, I was killing a task when I thought of it.

3/10 I don’t know man, Control Alt Asura just sounds not ok at all! I have to Asura: Professor Terkk (Mesmer) and Golemancer Rakk (Engineer). I prefer lore inspired names

I dig those. Especially after reading up on the lore.

I, however, did not read up before I named my toon. (Yes, I am that new. Not noob, just new here.) I totally pulled a name out of thin air. And it is “Dahco.” I like it, doesn’t mean anything that I know of, not a reference to anything, just a name. After reading this I do hope it’s suitable for a respectable (and soon to be feared!!!) Asuran Necromancer.

I have an Asura named Midna from Zelda Twilight Princess.

I had a list of names I tried to get as fast as I could when the game released but that was the only one I managed haha

Eh. I’m not really sure -what- to Rate Midna, since it seems like one of the obvious names that would’ve been done. Admittedly, kudos on -getting- the name, and I’ve seen a few pretty convincing Midna look-alike Asura.

I remade my asura recently just because of the name. It used to be Avitoli. I changed it after finding out about the general naming style for Asura, and after someone mentioned it sounds a lot like Ravioli. >.<

Now, her name is Avkii.

I’ll give Avkii 9/10! Its kinda cute and sound very much asuran!

I meself have 3 asuras:
- Chocolie
- Dottsy
- Tiikah

Chocolie was my first character and thus I didn’t know bout typical asuran nameing rules while I created her and the name’s simply a result of my love for chocolate!
Dottsy and Tiikah are however meant to be lore-friendly names, I hope I managed to achieve that!

Mmm, chocolate… We’ll let the non-loreishness go in that case! Dottsy and Tiikah are both great though. I especially like Tiikah, ’cause it reminds me of chicken tikka. Nomnomnom.

This is my elementalist, Naadji, gettin’ jiggy wit’ it! I’ve got a big thing for lore-friendly names, though I can handle other people not caring. My names gotta be good tho’…

My asura is a necromancer: Nixxi the Shade

New to all this, and called my Guardian “Perrun Portent”.

“Piorun” (or “Perun”) being the Slavic god of lightning (equivalent to Thor) and “Portent” meaning either “a sign of impending catastrophe” or “an exceptional person or thing”.

Thought it had a nice ring to it. Was going to go with “Ullar Ultime” but apparently “Ullr” (Norse god of war) is more connected with archery.

Oh, as for “Nixxi” – I like it. Short, snappy, sweet. 9/10.

In my opinion Perrun is well sounding for an asura so i’ll rate it 9/10.

My name is not so creative but well i find it represents the asurian self-perception.
The name of my asura is Superkalifragelix and well he is a genius of engineering, if you know the reference you’ll get it.^^

Sounds good, could have used an extra x though.. (though it would probably be too long…)

My latest Asuran is Bayllanna. She’s an engineer.
(together with Lwaxxanna, Tracker Phloxx and Danna, I think I have my Star Trek family complete!)

I’m new to this game and my first character is an Asuran mesmer. I don’t know how to make a name more ‘Asuran’ so I don’t think it’ll be fair for me to vote but my first character is called, ‘Mirage Mewtwo.’

Long story behind him, but suffice to say, the story so far has been a mix of tragedy, comedy, and solid fun in story. Granted, he’s looking for a new Krewe … last one tossed him out due to being such a slave driver for results.

Oooh another Asuran warrior. And I thought I was being original =(.

Stay Small Son 8/10—it’s cute and I like the alliteration, but no story provided. Also it doesn’t fit the naming convention, which makes me more curious about the story.

I would give adorkable 10/10 though, regardless of race and class because it’s just that awesome.

Mine is Tizzy Tinyterror, also warrior.

Tizzy was born with the dual misfortunes of being unusually tall for an asuran and having absolutely no mechanical skill. Her classmates teased her mercilessly and she fought back with her fists, quickly earning the nickname Tizzy the Terror. Her pint-sized bullies complained to their parents that she was bullying them, and the parents and school agreed that Tizzy should not be allowed to “pick on people smaller than her.”

Tizzy was “kindly asked to leave” her asura school around the same time her parents (who were the Asuran Ambassadors to the Norn) were preparing to go visit the Norn. Tizzy went with them, and discovered she fit in better with the Norn than with her own people. The Norn were impressed by Tizzy’s determination and her ferocity, and she showed an amazing ability to best Norn 2 or 3 times her size in combat. When her parents left, Tizzy stayed with the Norn and trained to be a warrior. The Norn learned about her Asuran nickname (Tizzy the Terror) and nicknamed her Tizzy Tinyterror because she was small in comparison to them. Tizzy has a quick temper, but she’s very loyal and determined.

Asuran male warrior name = Low Fro

I just made my asura warrior a few days ago. His name is Cyberneticist Jace. It’s my first character and I didn’t know the lore when I bought the game last Friday. However, http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Asura describes the lore and naming conventions. I read the pages for each of the races and I went with the culture that best fits my personality overall. It’s been enjoyable thus far!
