Thinking of playing an Asura, sway me...
Asura are masters at every class. With superb jumping (and rolling) abilities, and impressive attack animations, they can make any fight look easy.
Zojja is wearing Tier 3 Light Cultural Armor. She’s an Elementalist.
I actually just answered my own questions on the wiki, (it wouldn’t load earlier). Looking forward to playing an Asura.
You’ll love playing an Asura! And if you don’t, you’re clearly mentally deficient.

I have found it quite difficult settling on a class. I just don’t know. I want to focus on one, not play a few, and am thinking guardian, (again), or maybe thief.
It is quite difficult to decide.
This good enough for you? Join us! Or you will be shot!
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
One thing to be aware of if you’re planning an Asura Thief though. I believe they do not get that cool “blur” animation that Thieves of other races get when they dodge. (ANet may have fixed this though? I’m not sure.)

Awwwwww… (melts)
Asuran Guardian here. I love their melee animations and leaps, and the magic element in the class gives my Asuran that mystical property.
Carrying enemy team since 2012

Asuran engis are the best…no convincing needed we just are, what’s better than a tiny genius blowing things up?

A tiny genius with a flamethrower!

Thanks for the reply everyone. Gonna go with a thief I believe. Now to figure out a lore appropriate name.
This should help: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Asura#Names

In pvp if you play Asuran warrior none can tell your moves/animations because you are so small!

In WvW it’s harder to see Asura attack animations, especially for thief. And on a similar note, it’s hard to see any pretty gear we’ve collected. But if you do look closely, we have some of the best animations. And in jumping puzzles, it’s nice to have a tiny model.

Nope, we still don’t get the fancy dodge animation.
If you need to be swayed, don’t play one.
Asura should have enough appeal in and of themselves.

You are absolutely right. Thank you for setting me straight!
Asura: The best animations. The worst sets and weapon look
Pros: Voice acting, awesome lines, humorous attitude, attack / jumping animation, great lore, great RP opportunities, size advantage in WvW, actually useful racial slot skills, mocking Bookahs.
Cons: Armor is basically the same for males and females (lazy Anet is lazy), weapons look small, lack of respect / insults from other players, lack of detail in armor.
I honestly think they are the best looking race in GW2. Their animations are fantastic, and they always feel like they are moving fast, unlike the Charr which always feels like its moving through quicksand to me.
