Why does my asura look so amazing until she smiles?

Their mouths are wide and filled with pointed, shark-like teeth.

since the asura seem to have a full set of sharp pointy teeth,

does that mean they’re carnivores? or are they a very very odd outlying group of omnivores that for some inexplicable biological reason have the teeth of a predator?

Almost certainly carnivores… Scary thing is their teeth are seemingly the type ment to bite down and hold on heh… must make chewing their food next to impossible!

They probably have molars for chewing that we don’t see. And since they’re Asura I’m sure they have lots of wisdom teeth. <rimshot>

Well, they did live underground where probably not a lot of vegetation grew.

So… maybe Asura eat Skritt?
Or Dredge?

I love it when Quaggan greet me with “nice teeth” .
(I know they do it for all races, but it makes sense for Asura)

I think they are somewhat reptilian (pretty sure i read it somewhere). Maybe they eat bugs or something (wich would make sense since they came from underground, no big Cows down there im sure)

The teeth are great, its another thing that makes asura unique.

I like the teeth. All cute and cuddly until we smile then you realize we’re little death machines.

Hehe Asura smiles crack me up, all my Asura are female and here are some of my favorite animations

-any staff user, cast a spell and just let it idle watch their face as they twirl the staff. They start twirling it then look at the staff and go : D

-engineer w/ pistol hit poison bolt volley #2 key and watch their face. I think thief with pistol only mainhand #3 attack has the same facial expression.

-thief with double pistol hit #3 attack, slighty different facial expression then the previous one.

I guess you guys are right lol! Our teeth are what separates us from the inferior races hehe.

Evolution. Teeth meant to chomp through flesh and hard carapaces, they lived underground for a long time, you know.

Their teeth remind me alot of gecko teeth for some reason, or a small rat dog. Its adorable but also gives their smiles a nice hint of madness which is wonderful.

It’s because they are cute on the surface but vicious little monsters underneath. One of the most vicious races out there imo.

I know right? Isn’t it adorabibble.

Because without those teeth, it’s hard to eat omnomberries.

I think that we could totally blind the dredge by eating part of them, but it wouldn’t be there eyes, whcih as far as I can tell are probably just decorative. It would be their ears, or whatever they use to “see” underground. Maybe they have ears in their eyeholes? (ew)

Just to point out, that kind’ve serrated tooth isn’t always a predatory adaptation. Some cave/deep sea fish have similar serrated teeth for cutting algae and similar rock-clinging mosses from rock surfaces.

In the asura’s case whatever the canon reason the aesthetic reason is obvious; it’s the critters effect. Little cute cuddly creatures which open their mouth to reveal scarey teeth of doom

I like to pretend that using my 3rd strike as a Necro with dual daggers is actually me biting the enemy (giant teeth show up, and there is a biting sound).

Hehe yes! I love this aspect of them, those little dagger teeth are awesome. ^^
