What should we do in the case of a golem uprising?
Sharks With Lazers [PEW]
Well, we die or bow down to our new golem overlords :/
Impossible, the sedition inhibitor prevents any kind of insurgent behaviour.

Thank god we have an elite skill to disguise ourselves as golems.
What should we do in the case of a golem uprising?
Build better, more loyal golems to fight the rebellious ones. The asuran response to any technological problem is, of course, more technology.
Also, find the hapless asura whose mistake led to the uprising and make scathing remarks about his stupidity and incompetence. If there’s one thing asura like more than inventing stuff, it’s putting each other down…

And if someone found a way to suppress the inhibitor?

Destroy the golems, blame the Inquest and just hope that there are no more unpleasant disruptions from your research this week. We all (okay, some of us) have more important things to do than dealing with every single malfunctioning golem.
Until that, I’ll play GW2.
I was smart enough to program my golem my own ingenious firewall and encryption. It can also be your for 5 easy payments of 10 gold a week.
Just send it to my Lab
A lot of people don’t realise that isn’t the end of the conversation :p
Shortly after the nearby robot pipes up “Warning. Target hostile” at the male asura, followed by "Error: " (can’t remember the exact error message, but basiclly realises it’s mistake and stands down proving her point).
Female Peacemarker: “Have a great day now”
Male Peacemaker: “Was that a threat or a prediction ¬_¬”

I’m glad I’m not the only person who spends too much time in rata sum.

We’ll find the person who complicated our day, so we can ruin theirs.
It’s OK. We’ll dispatch M.O.X., a plucky, sympathetic golem prototype who was discovered sealed in an underground test chamber, to destroy the rebellious golems. Despite being more than 250 years old, M.O.X. is perfectly capable of standing up to today’s generation of golems due to possessing a unique capability to absorb and repurpose the powers of golems he destroys.
One by one, he will journey to their strongholds to challenge and defeat the rebellious golems, and upon defeating the last one, he’ll discover that Councilor Yahk is the one who has secretly corrupted all the rebellious golems, and then confront Yahk (who’s wearing a Super-Golem prototype suit) in a climatic showdown in the heart of the Crucible of Eternity!
(( I can’t believe ANet hasn’t made a sub-plot along these lines already! ))

I think it’s a little soon to start making references to a freshly killed franchise.

Killed? Has Capcom closed the Megaman franchise? That’s news to me, mostly because I haven’t followed the console game industry for years now.

Basically, Megaman Legends 3 has disappeared off the map and the last megaman announcement was a terrible iOS game called Megaman Xover where all you do it run right and shoot at things.
Megaman fans pretty much consider it dead by this point.

Just don’t ask for directions, they hate that.
Well I, for one, welcome our new golem overlords.
Step 1: Remind the Norn they are our servants.
Step 2: Send Norn to fight Golems.
Step 3: Evil Laughter.
The conversations in Rata Sum are brilliant but soon get annoying. I hope they add more conversation to existing areas in the future rather than let the same old stuff get boring.
Personally I’m sick of hearing this already:
“You know what they say, a rotating cog amasses no Sporophyte”
Well I hope they make a patch / event string someday about a golem uprising. will be sweet.
Please. Mr. Sparkles is behind it all. And you can’t beat the Sparkles.
Other 80s: Any but Warrior
Well I, for one, welcome our new golem overlords.

I don’t know what you’re all worried about, we were beating up rogue/malfunctioning golems at level 1!

I think you will have a problem with step 1. Step 2-3 should be easy.
Perhaps Step 1 is to let the Norn know that you will provide a challenge for their skills.
In the event of a golem uprising, remember not to ask them for directions while standing under a sign post. They hate that.
(I could find it in me to wish that there was a wider variety of dialog in Rata Sum, but everything there is of it is wonderful. I’m also especially fond of the argument between the Peacekeeper Golem and the Merchant up on the upper deck, where he suddenly smartens up and asks himself, “Why am I arguing with a golem?”)
- Let a Sylvari talk to them.
(for those who don’t get it, go to the Asura Gate in the Grove and listen) - Wait 40-60 seconds and they automatically self-destruct for no apparent reason.
(at least in the case of our racial elites)

One thing is for certain: there is no stopping them; the Golems will soon be take over. And I for one welcome our new Golem overlords. I’d like to remind them that as a trusted Snaff Savant prize winner, I can be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground metal mines.
Do you even lift, bro?
Bite them on the ankles?
You keep using that word…. I do not think this joke has been overdone enough.
As for Mega Man – the guy who made it left the company. However, I don’t see any reason not to make references.
P.S. to the person spinning this Mega-M.O.X. theory: How does G.O.X. fit into this scheme?
Find a Gollum to deal with the Golem
A golem uprising? Now that would be an interesting experiment…
P.S. to the person spinning this Mega-M.O.X. theory: How does G.O.X. fit into this scheme?
G.O.X. will show up in the new dungeon “Mega-M.O.X. 2”, where he’ll make an appearance as one of the bosses guarding one of the paths leading to Councilor Yahk (who’s somehow miraculously survived the destruction and collapse of his old base and is up to his old tricks again). After defeating G.O.X., M.O.X. decides to salvage the head of his old friend and brings it back to the lab of the asura who found him, Professor Photons. With a bit of tinkering, Prof. Photons manages to repair G.O.X.’s head, and it becomes an ally that M.O.X. can summon as an elite skill.
3 simple steps
1 ask golems to list out pi
2 then divide by zero
3 laugh evilly until satisfied
press CTRL ALT DEL
go to task manager
then shut down the golem process (shut down its process tree)
problem solved
Fractal lvl 80 – 126 AR
Maybe YOUR golems will be part of an uprising, but mine are properly constructed and programmed. An uprising is inconceivable.
Well I’ve got one word for you: Teyo :P
You’ll all be praising my krewe for having developed the Golem Rehabilitation Universal Broadcast System (G.R.U.B.S.).
Bowling for golems anyone?
