This concerns the dialogue, not really the voice acting and audio which is very good imho.

Anyway, there have been a couple times in my personal stories where the dialogue just really jars me out of the suspended disbelief, mostly through some blatant anachronisms. There have been a couple, but suffice to say the reason I am posting is from a when a towering Norn warrior from the Vigil told me some information was “above my pay grade.”

Now I’m not a roleplayer, nor some stuffy historian that makes a fuss over flavor details, like viking helms didn’t really have horns or some other minutia. For example, it might make sense for an Asura to say something more modern, such as pay grades etc.

I dunno. There have just been some really blatant ones throughout the story, and they distract me for being so out of place in pastoral pseudo-medieval Tyria.

have to admit ive never had a probem with it, i do acctually remember the Vigil line your talking about but i thought it was fine at the time.

however i would like to point out that this…. is not an Anachronism

But, the game is set in present day Tyria. How can it be an anachronism?
