This is not a hate thread, just to clarify that before we get started haha.

Now,

I messaged Mr. Chappelle on soundcloud about a week ago complimenting the work he’s done, and asking how he makes his music, because I myself am interested in becoming a producer (of any genre I can figure out haha). He messaged me back (which I appreciated beyond measure), and mentioned some basic things about their equipment and techniques. I messaged Leif back, asking another question, but he has yet to respond.

I’m not trying to call him out or anything, but Leif, if you’re reading this, I’d love to continue our discussion! Not because I plan to try and take your jobs in the future haha, but because I’ve always wanted to produce the kind of music you guys make, and I’d love to know your techniques, since it sounds like I might be able to make the same kind of work right in my own home, where I make stuff on my computer.
