I was wondering why the female human voice for “Retreat” on my guardian sounds like a harpy? Feels like someone was lazy and used a harpy voice instead of recording a proper human voice.

Makes me cringe every time I use that skill.

To me, Human female sounds right. Like shes yelling retreat as loud as she can to get everyone to flee from a dangerous situation.

My guardian, however, is Norn female and she sounds like “Retreat…I guess? Or whatevs”

Heh, I love the Human Female Guardian shouts. She sounds like she actually puts emotion into them. “Save yourselves!” is a good example. The Human Male equivalent is like a “Meh, save yourselves. I’m going home to get drunk.”

Nah totally disagree guys, that retreat voice doesn’t even sound like the same voice actress that did all the other voiceovers. It sounds like a totally different creature!!

everytime i hear it i cringe a bit. i think prolonged exposure would end up making my ears bleed or something

I turned voices off. Have never regretted it.
