I opened GW1 for the first time in… well, over a year now! The moment I heard that music I was overwhelmed with happiness.
So, perhaps it’s nostalgia. But maybe it isn’t. I think I do like the GW1 music more than GW2. I love the GW1 login screen. It’s perhaps one of the few things I wish GW2 had taken from GW1. The track playing on the GW1 screen makes me feel so… empowered. Like I’m logging on to save the world as a true hero. The track on the GW2 login screen doesn’t do this for me… it’s just, oh it’s the GW2 theme tune.
But, alas, maybe when we’re all playing GW3, I’ll open GW2 and the music will do the same thing to me.
