Looking for a way to disable combat music
While I think a blank playlist with a short, mute audio file in it would probably do the trick, the regular exploration music would still fade out to make room for combat music. So every time the combat music would kick in, it’d be silent until it would stop, and invasion events would be all without music too, presumably.
It’s not that you don’t like listening to music during combat. You just don’t like the current combat music. Find some tracks from other games that fit combat and put them in a playlist. I recommend Guild Wars 1’s music.

Search for those on YT and see if you like it.
I’m sure that I’m not interested in combat music for ordinary fights, but thank you.
I’d also like this feature. Then I could use my spyro the dragon playlist and have it in the background more often without annoying starting/stopping of the music. Hey, they were good games and the music was just mystical and relaxing.. Spyro music is so perfect for Metrica at the least. Also I threw in some .hack//sign soundtracks for good measure.
the light! And if we dance, until the heart explodes,
It’ll make this place ignite!
