I noticed this early when the game launched, and actually thought it had been fixed. But I heard it again yesterday. And it sounds like my pets have big heavy shoes or peglegs…or somthing :P
It hilarious, but it turnes annoying after a while. Iv heard this “loudness” apply to mobs aswell. Think it was a skillpoint elemental in the zone below QueensDale…cant remember the name now. It was extremely loud and I had to turn the volume down.

It’s loud! And does sound funny… clomp clomp. It happens with fire elementals now too. Loud clomp clomp wings flapping.

In my opinion, I do not think it was funny since I play with a headset most of the time and I actually became deafened by the sounds.

I can confirm this, It first happened quite some time ago(around launch) with an elementalist’s ember. I thought it got fixed, but a couple of days ago I was playing with a ranger and suddenly this sound(like someone cooking pop-corn) starts, very loud, when his pet bear was walking.

Sometimes it’s necessary listening to the silence, it could tell more..

Ha, yeah, I’ve noticed this too! I play a ranger, and gotta say, kitten my arctodus has suddenly stacked on the weight. Or changed his shoes or something, he’s sooooo loud these days. Doesn’t happen all the time, or with all the pets (my leopard is reassuringly silent), but wow it’s annoying when it does.

I noticed that too and the best way to temporary fix the issue is to change the the sound quality, and put it back where it used to be.
