Guild Wars 2

Since the recent patch my female Asura has been making a new sound, it’s rather unfitting and I’m wondering if it’s intended or a glitch. It sounds better suited for a high fall than using miscellaneous skills or stomping.

It seems to happen in actions with long wind-ups. Like stomping or the third hit in the toolkit 1 chain. Also happens sometimes when I use toolkit 5.

I’ve noticed this sound when casting Phantasmal Warden and Duelist on my female asuran mesmer.

I’m so glad someone else noticed this! This new sound irritates me to tears! It happens on my ranger whenever I use the greatsword’s Maul skill, or sometimes the Swoop or Hilt Bash skills. The clip sounds more like my poor Asura is done with everything and doesn’t want to live anymore.

While it’s not the worst sound ever it’s just way too weird and breaks my immersion when I hear it.

I play female sylvari warrior. I can confirm that Bull’s Charge, Rush, Stomp and #3 & #5 Greatsword cause my character to scream/moan as well. I used to experience this on my Charr Engineer just milling about in the world.

Found the particular sound. Got introduced recently, but it’ll be removed as soon as possible.

Thank you! My poor little mesmer sounded like she was being violently ill every time she cast Ether Feast. Most undignified.

Has this been fixed yet?

My female asura is still making an ugly scream that she never did the first year I played. It’s like she’s being tortured or something. It seemed to come in around the time that the nighmare/hallucination stuff started but it happens no matter what the content, now. Unlike others I can’t pinpoint any spell. It’s more like when she’s taking damage. It started after Liadri and before the new Fractals.
