Guild Wars 2

So I purchased the Guild Wars 2: Original Game Soundtrack a few weeks ago from DirectSong. When it arrived today, I noticed it was missing one song I really desired. The instrumental version of Fear Not This Night that plays during the “The Source of Orr” story quest. Is there a reason this song was decided to be left off the soundtrack of the game?

Side note: To say I was pleasantly surprised to open the case and be staring at Jeremy Soule’s signature, was an understatement.

Also, Zhaitan’s battle theme is not in the ost either, other dragon fighting themes are in, why not his?

Is Guild wars 1 nightfall ‘overture’ (battlesound that occurs in dungeons of gw1) on the soundtrack? I simply adore the song it’s about 2 mins long.

I’m also disappointed there is no instrumental Fear Not This Night.

I’d also like to add my disappointment to this. Fear not this night instrumental is arguably one of the best tracks in the game but you only give us the one with the vocal track. It’s far far cheesier with the vocals imo.

Go on Anet, be awesome and give us a download of Fear not this night instrumental!

I too want the instrumental.
There are no vocals for the other tracks in my CDs, but then this pops up in my playlist.
It is rather jarring, the instrumental itself would be far prettier.

I read somewhere (I believe it was Jeremy Soule’s Facebook page) that it was recorded under a separate agreement for the PAX 2010 demo (I think), and the terms were such that it wasn’t able to be included on the soundtrack.

Reminds me of the fiasco where THE most iconic Factions theme was not on the OST either of GW1.

Hoping they re-use it in GW2’s Cantha… Please! Q_Q

As for Fear Not this Night and Zhaitan’s theme, us players will have to manually rip it ourselves… Here’s Zhaitan’s theme:
