I plan on making both a charr and a sylvari for another playthrough, but I’m curious about something

How are the gender voices?
I mean,I’m not trying to be sexist but I want to see what voice sounds better and matches the character more.
I planned on doing a female necro charr and a male sylvari warrior/guardian but I heard that their voices don’t sound good.

What are your opinions?

I normally prefer playing female characters but I’m not a big fan of the female Charr voice myself, the male Charr voice is pretty cool though.

I think the male sylvari voice (who I think is Brandon Bales) is pretty good, especially when shouting out things in combat (which you can’t really tell from the video, but still), but he pretty much pales to the female voice, who if you couldn’t tell, was Jennifer Hale doing a British (Sylvarish?) accent.

We don’t currently offer a voice preview during character selection.

Since there’s nothing to choose from when it comes to the voice, that wouldn’t make much sense either.

Now if you were to add a slider for voice pitch, that would be a whole different matter

You can also just create a throwaway character and listen to their lines during the initial character introduction (“This is my story.”) to get a good feel of what their VA’s sound like.

I really like the male Charr’s VA. The male Sylvari, less so. (I went with a female Sylvari.)

I absolutely love VO for both Charr genders, especially male.
