If I jump around and sometimes fall off a 1 foot ledge my male Charr will scream like he just fell off the Empire State Building. This can happen within seconds of the last scream and while it was funny at first, it’s a tad annoying now. Anyone else have this issue?

Hydlide, I’m having the exact same issue with my male Charr. Even just a small jump and he screams like he is going to die, maybe they’re just afraid of heights.

I mentioned this to my friend earlier this week, my female Charr does the same thing. It’s also just by jumping around, not falling off of anything.

The same occurs when I launch my Charr Engineer with Jump Shot.

I believe the sound of falling off the ESB is something like SPLAT

Same here and it is getting really anoying.

I don’t have a charr, and it is still hilarious to me.

I guess it will stay hilarious if I don’t make one then…

All races do this. My fem asura goes “AAAUUUHHH” when I jump over rocks.

Or break shovels, apparently.

Yeah, its way too much for basic jump. That huge sound should be reserved for when my male char lands and takes a huge amount of fall damage. Not hopping around >_>

Jump shot on the engineers rifle and I’m told one of the hammer attacks on warrior both generate the bug almost every time they’re used. It gets old quickly :p

Yeah, my charr also does this, and quite often it seems. It’s very frustrating when you are trying to really focus on some of those more difficult Vista jumps only to be startled by a scream of death from a mere “hop”. I end up usually reacting by accidentally rolling forward after being startled and then really do fall to my death. LoL.

I suppose disabling sound at times like this would be wise until they can fix it. :B

Is it wrong that I now made a Charr just to let him have fall damage?

The Charr wailing is so bad im convinced mine is part banshee.

Yep had a screaming charr yesterday…..
I had to put him in a box with a anti barking collar :/

Yea, I got the same problem. I haven’t played my Charr female ranger for a while and I don’t recall having this screaming when I first made her. I played her to lvl 12.
It seems, this coincides with the 14th Sept update where lots of V/O’s went missing, but I’m assuming these new sounds were added in a that time, as I’ve noticed some new comments by my other characters, particularly during combat.
On another note, I’ve also noticed across my female characters, they sometimes sound like males. Like there’s no one else around, and a male voice will say something like, “refreshing”! I’m assuming its my characters saying this, as there’s no one else around?
But seriously, I started to play my Charr again yesterday and I find the falling screams so annoying I’m considering deleting her, tho I hate to do that since she’s almost lvl 18 now!
Please let us know if you intend to fix this to save me deleting my character, its making playing Charrs seriously unpleasant!
