So something that I noticed, as I have a character of each race, is that there is an issue with the /cry emote.

When my male human responds to the /cry emote you can hear him cry.

HOWEVER, when my male sylvari responds to the /cry emote, the animation of him crying happens BUT there is no audio for him crying.

Was there no audio recorded for it or is it a bug?

The sylvari are too full of joy to know how to properly cry and instead are just mimicking what they’ve seen.

No I don’t know why you aren’t getting any audio, but I also don’t have a male sylvari to see if I experience the same.

Do you have a famale sylvari and experience the same thing?

Yeah, sorry, should have made that more clear. I can /cry on a female sylvari with sound as well as the animation. I currently don’t have an open slot to make a male to try, so I cannot say with certainty that it will or will not also work for male for me.

But yeah, it’s just really weird. the rest of my characters do, but only my male sylvari doesn’t.

if they are made of plants, they may not have tear ducts?

no they do the animation but not the sound.

so, Anet do you know anything about this?

The female Asura /cry makes me so sad. I just wanna hug her

Yeah the cry emote on male sylvari is really awkward… no sound at all and they keep restarting the animation from the beginning.
