Guild Wars 2

So I logged on this morning to do my daily, and was pleasantly surprised to hear a tune I couldn’t recall hearing before.
I’ve previously bemoaned the lack of variety in GW2’s tunes and the recycling of GW1 ones, so new things to hear are a very welcome addition!

So, as per the thread title, has new music been added?

I was just posting about this in a thread of my own. It seems that is the case in LA, where there’s a beautiful string piece playing now. Very much an improvement.

I haven’t paid attention to the music, and I don’t know if this is new or not, but I’m noticing a sound effect that is really annoying me. Its a jingling sound whenever you move/run your character around, for example in Lions Arch. I’ve never noticed that before, but I do now, and I hate it. Its like your running around with tiny bells or jingling metal chains attached to your character.

Actually Tim, that jingling sound effect has been part of some armor pieces. The rare quality conjurer pants have this for instance. As for if it was newly added to some sets, I have no clue.

It’s a good thing I checked this thread before posting one of my own…I just now have discovered this phenomenon. I told a guildmate it sounded like my Asuran mesmer has a pocket full of skritt shinies.

Aaah, so I wasn’t hearing things as well.

I hear it sometimes when I’m running around with me Necromancer and there’s a brief moment of silence. Figured it was the armor, but didn’t know it’s a ‘new’ sound effect.

Is it because of the armour I’m wearing?
