Now that I’ve taken to craft leveling my alts to 40 before I play them, it’s the dialogue near crafting stations that has been drilled into my skull. I like the layout of Rata Sum with the crafting stations arranged in a hub around the TP, so that’s where I’ve done most of it.

I feel sorry for that poor young Asura who wants to know if there is a position open for someone with a background in synergetics. Every time the other Asura explains that there aren’t, but those kinds of positions are very fluid so she should check back, I want to yell at him, “Give her a job already!”

And, of course, there are the two elderly Asura reminiscing about the Great Golemn Uprising, in which the male asked for directions and got hung up by his ears. I expect a certain amount of elderly senility could explain why they keep reminising about that time over, and over, and over….

(I don’t find these annoying, but couldn’t find the favorite quote board)

One that I heard recently and have come to enjoy is in Lion’s Arch near the central plaza.

Asura: I’m making an all Asura and Norn guild and I’m calling it “Brains and Brawn”
Norn: You should make an all Sylvari and Golem guild and call it “Sticks and Stones”

I LOL every time I hear that!

Some of my other favorite lines are the “Your momma’s IQ is so low…” jokes. I go back there all the time just to hear them, and to check on Rubi of course. =)
The Captain Penzen song in Moriarty’s Hold in Bloodtide Coast.
The Skritt arguing about beer and work at Fionnghuala Scratch in Timberline Falls.
And the quaggan song at the jumping puzzle in Mellagan’s Grotto in Timberline Falls.

There are a lot more, as I do tend to spend a fair amount of time hanging out in various areas just listening to the dialogue, but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

The one that bothers me the absolute most is the LionGuard dude in Kraitbane Haven. Every time you walk into town, he runs right into your face and YELLS a the top of his lungs “HEY! Trouble’s Coming.. blah blah…”
Yes! We /know/ the Krait Champ is up! No One Ever Kills It! Thank You! Now STOP accosting me every time I go into town to repair or sell things!
He scares the crap outta me Every Time! His voice is SOO loud and he Yells for no reason… Even the Crazy Norn Chick “Pay Heed… I haven’t taken leave of my senses…” doesn’t Yell at you! I’ll take her hands down any day over that guy.
Is there anything to be done about that guy?
Tie him to a rock and use him to bait the Krait Champ maybe?

Another one, this one from the new patch, Mai Trin says it a lot and I just love it for some reason:

I really hate that Norn line:

Just drives me nuts, really.

We marked those lines for a rewrite because the norn don’t really pray to the spirits. For whatever reason they didn’t get addressed (tools bug? oversight? budget?) so we’re sort of stuck with them for now. We may change some of them the next time the actors come back.

About this quote its still in game with the Norn, and also i tried searching in google about guild wars 2 race character quotes ( example Male Norn says when he do achievment like chopping wood) I Am master of life. some players are interesit to know what all racess in gw2 character says while playing.

And there are many players suggest Arena Net to make a new option in the settings like Disable character voice, many players i hear from friends or in game are annoyed of voice spamming, like for great justice, or ouch my leg or arise my minion. Some players prefer less character talking and more character hack n slash ,can your team Kindly make this option in futur patch ?

I swear, the enthusiasm in this Norn’s voice is absolutely ridiculous. I would roll a norn male just for this quote QQ.

The first time I played this game (shortly after a release) I spent a lot of time in the Asura city leveling my Tailoring, and one line that I heard sooo many times and really got stuck in my head was “You know what they say… A rotating cog gathers no sporophite”. I love that line, infact I just love Asura lines in general.

“Never capitulate!”. I didn’t even know what that word meant until I heard it from a politician on television a few months later. I was like “ohhh right that’s what my Asura Elementalist was saying. Never admit defeat”

I think the original version of that line was, “I feel four feet tall!” which I think is funnier. I’m debating changing the line to that the next time Steve Staley comes back for recording.

I actually like the six feet one, I think Asura are pretty close to 4 feet tall so being buffed with might making them feel a few inches taller than normal doesn’t scream overcompensating the way being as tall as an average human man does.

As a man who is 6 feet tall I find it hilarious that an Asura considers it a great height to be what is fairly average for humans.

I have to say the Asura male voiceover lines are the most entertaining in the entire game.

I’m very glad that I chose a male Asura for my Elementalist, I just love the attunement lines, they have real character to them “Severe weather warning!” and “I have ignition!” are my favorites.

I must note, that I play a female charr warrior- and I hear the top ones more then my own character. Even so "On the mend, might makes right’ The lines for female charr aren’t bad- but they aren’t really memorable at all.

On that note “BY OGDENS HAMMER WHAT SAVINGS!” and “This wont end well.” from the most positive to the most emo sounding i’ve heard xD

On the char Questline obscured from the line of sight from two ghostly mobs they hold a conversation together not knowing that a Char is listening in.

One of my most vivid memories of the GW2 beta was when I partied up with a player to explore with. We were in Hoelbrak, and they went afk, so I was stood around waiting for 15 minutes or so.

My Sylvari Necromancer. some of the things she says when she summons a minion, or it dies. Many of them are really great. Though… now that I try to think of them, I can’t remember any of them exactly. Need to play her more.

Sylvari character line:

“Oooh” “Oaf” “Ah” “Uff” sounds when jumping !

Normally you wouldn’t hear this line a lot, but the Clockwork Chaos meta event certainly opens your eyes to how the NPCs interact with players….

Can’t remember the zone (Lornar’s Pass I think), but every single time a player walked by this asura, she would belt out “You there! You look useful!!” And I mean EVERY SINGLE PLAYER. Never thought my chat log would entirely fill with a one-liner.

I’ve heard a lot of NPCs but the one I heard the most was Blingg lol
