I am not as much annoyed by these as much as I smile and say “lol dis again”. (“We don’t HAVE outhouses.”)

And not to forget, “BY OGDEN’S HAMMER, WHAT SAVINGS!”

Female charr elementalist lines. More specifically-

-“Burn them.” / “Fire!” / “Feel the flames!”
-“Water!” / “Making waves.” / “Feel the cold.”
-“Storm power!” / “The wind is here!”
-"Strong as stone. / “Rock solid.” / “Earth!”

And since I’ve specced into Arcana for the buffs on attuning- “Anger rising!” / “Might makes right.” / “Swiftly.” / “On demand.” Then there’s “Lethal… efficient… excellent!” I like the female charr voice (and their lines aren’t as corny as others), so I don’t mind hearing them.

“retreeeaaat!!”

My little guardian likes to shout that. I love that skill but it’s a little bit annoying to hear her shouting that over and over again^^°
(and I don’t like her voice when she fights…)

“for great justice”/ “Some must fight so all can be free” (from npc’s ofcoz)

Not so much a line, but that annoying screaming sound as if your falling off a cliff…even when jumping over a fence.

I hear “SHAKE IT OFF!” a lot. Human male warriors say that line so cool and I’m gonna make one of those just for that reason.

I play an Asura, so I hear “Excelsior” more often than I care to. The ones I hear a lot that never get old are “No, your head is funny. It looks like a little raisin.”, and “Thunder” from Norn elementalists. I never really consciously listen to any of the other class sound bytes except for “Thunder” because I half expect Lion-O from Thundercats to chime in.

I was using that skill for a while, as it worked well with my utility and I was having fun with the effects. But holy moly that audio clip got old in a heartbeat. I am hesitant to run with the prayer.

There is this Champion Infinity Coil Commander or some such in Mount Maelstrom, that says “Your failure is only funny if you try,” about 2-3 times a minute. I didn’t want to make a new thread on it just to complain on how annoying it is.

“I’ll pass this along to the pale tree.” <about 30 times in a few minutes while exploring on my sylvari.
“This rose has thorns! Here they are!”
“RETREAT!”

“You must visit more often”
“Go ahead, hit me”
“Urge to kill rising!”
“Eat my dust!”

playing a female norn warrior. all of my utilities are shouts.

i hear “For great justice!” “On my mark!” and “Shake it off!” every 20 seconds on average. (i use shake it off even when i don’t have conditions on me or stuns to break, because it grants me adrenaline)

and i never tire of it.

sometimes the audio clips cut each other off when using different shouts in quick succession. so you can make your character say “Shake it for great justice!” or “Shake it on my mark!”

or if you pass an adrenaline threshold sometimes the warrior goes “adrenaline rising” or “almost there”. those can be used for the previously mentioned combinations as well, i think.

a friend of mine also plays a warrior and whenever we run around together we both constantly hear our character shout at each other while rampaging through our enemies, it’s so hilarious.
generally, our characters never shut up.

“I’m six feet tall!”

Oh, you.

And I also run a shout build on my charr, but I never really get tired of hearing “For Great Justice!” It, to this day, makes me absurdly happy.

I like on my Charr Warrior.

I actually stopped running Pain Signet on my Mesmer because of the audio.

“Agony. Torment. PAIN!” followed by that horrible nails-on-a-chalkboard screech. Just terrible.

Today I heard my Charr Warrior yell “WAHOO!” in an excited voice when I Shield Bashed a frog. It made me rather confused.

“20? Yesterday they were 10.”

“Today, 20.”

“Close to dying.” And every other ailment yell. I know I got poisoned/frozen/burned/etc. Shut up.

Still miss “Beware! Sons of Svanir!” in Hoelbrek before they fixed it. Drove me up a wall lol.

“Take aim. Hold….. Hold…. Fire! Not bad, not bad at all.”

I have to remember to avoid that area entirely as the Rifle training NPC annoys the kittens out of me.

Anybody who’s leveled a charr:
“Take it off the fire, its done.”
“Its not done, shut up. I’ll tell you when its done!”

“We’re all out of the big ones, boss.”

“I don’t suppose you could be a little more careful?”
“Listen human, if I weren’t here to vouch for you the charr would’ve torn you to pieces long ago. Besides, what’s life without a little danger?”
“Well for one, its safe!”

Other annoying ones:

“May the Spirits of the Wild welcome you.”

“Yesterday they were ten!”
“Today, twenty.”

“Know what cannot be known.”
“Fight what cannot be fault.”
Basically every NPC who’s in one of the pact groups.

“On my mark” and “shake it off” is probably what I hear the most :p

Bling’s “CITIZENS!!!!” etcetcetc. It had exceeded any other lines I’ve heard in my months of gameplay.

I was in a party for CoF with 3 warriors, and all i would hear at the start of every battle was “For Great Justice!” and “Shake it Off” – had a grand time in chat lol.

I think the original version of that line was, “I feel four feet tall!” which I think is funnier. I’m debating changing the line to that the next time Steve Staley comes back for recording.

The one that’s ground into my head is “FEEL MY WRATH FEEL MY WRATH FEEL MY WRATH HIT THEM HARD FEEFEEFEEFEEL MY WRATH!”. Triggerhappy guardian teammate.

My personal favorite is when my Male Sylvari Mesmer says,

“I make a pretty good team!”

I thought it a really fitting phrase for a Mesmer who, when fighting, is literally a team of himself. I was disappointed to discover that it’s actually just a very rare comment male Sylvari make when they they perform a combo with a field they themselves created.

It would have been more suitable as a Mesmer specific voice over whenever a clone/phantasm kills something. Sort of like the other various profession specific random phrases.

I really hate that Norn line:

“I pray to the Spirits of the Wild, but they rarely answer.”

Just drives me nuts, really.

Also, as a Minion Master Asura with the horribad Jagged Horror trait, I constantly hear the minion raising/minion dying comments in quick succession due to how quickly the Jagged Horror dies.

Female sylvari getting confusion on them – just the way they say it. “Oh…. what’s happening?” =)

“…kitten’s got claws…” (and everything said in the Serrated Blade)

We have jokes about all those NPCs but really, the “Take heed” woman was the worst because all the others are on timers and she speaks every time someone comes within 10 miles of her. Spend 60 seconds on the mercantile platform, hear that line 12 times XD
