A necro with a hammer makes no sense at all what so ever. I can imagine a gsword, much like the mesmers. The only class I can see with a hammer other then the guard and war is the ele.

Not too sure how a gsword would make more sense than a hammer (other than the fact that Sylvari Jesus used it). I’de personally prefer a hammer since it seems more in line with necromancer’s slow, supposedly tanky play style.

necro sword 1 whip lash
aoe 600 radius, up to 5 targets who came in contact with whip
whip attack animation
necro swings the swong like a whip and a black substance lashes forth like a whip
1/2 seconds activation chain 1 apply weakness 3 seconds
1/2 seconds activation chain 2 apply weakness 3 seconds
1/2 seconds activation chain 3 apply chill 1 second

necro sword 2 whip travel 10 seconds recharge
600 range 1 second activation leap skill
green circle aoe target
deal straight line aoe damage up to 5 targets
leap to target destination

necro sword 3 whip guard 15 seconds recharge
3 seconds channeling
blocks 5 attacks within 3 seconds

Fix traits>Fix DS>Bug fix transforms and weapon swap in ds>Fix utilities and weapons to beta status/pre dhuumfire, but post other fixes>Other weapons (dual wielding swords and hammer if possible~).

When life gives you lemon, ask if its from a anime or manga.

I agree, fix the existing weapons first, before adding a new broken weapon.

  • Give Cleave to either Axe or dagger
  • Make life stealing actually decent (it’s been 9 years for crying out loud!)
  • 9 years! I can’t believe it. Life stealing has been sub par for 9 years, and it never got fixed.
  • Revert the changes made to other condition skills on behalf of Dhuumfire
  • Revert the change to DS, so we can tank spike damage again.
  • Fix crucial DS bugs, like how it locks us out of our skills, or the DS insta-kill.
  • Allow us to safely stomp in DS.

I would much rather have a scythe. an actual scythe, not just a staff skin. A weapon exclusive to necros. Would be a perfect weapon to have cleave on as well. And i definitely want it to have some siphoning abilities. Wouldn’t make sense as a condition weapon anyway. I agree with the guy above me, life stealing is bad. Its fun, but its soooo bad. It steals so little health its barely noticeable and scales horribly with healing power. Life siphon builds just aren’t that viable now

Hammer just doesnt make sense to me.

An auto attack that applies 6sec of weakness and 1 sec of chill will never happen, other ideas look solid though.

Cleave on axe and dagger has been asked again and again but has never come nor will it, thats why I have started this thread.

Scythe sounds cool but introducing a new weapon is miles harder then giving an existing weapon to necros.

I think they should fix axe and dagger before adding a new weapon. These two weapons need redesign.
1. There should not be a melee weapon that does not cleave.
2. Necro melee weapons should not have channeling…especially since necros do not have invulnerability or block effects.
3. Deathshroud and lich form should have different abilities when you equip a melee weapon.

That being said, I would love necros to have a scythe to melee with. Maybe make equipping a great sword on a necro change it to a scythe.

I think “melee” shouldn’t have channels…not necros in general. I think this because the nature of melee combat means you need to be mobile to avoid one shots in this game. I think they should be replaced attacks/abilities that give more mobility (leaps, teleports, blocks, etc). I wouldn’t mind a very short channel if it also was accompanied by invulnerability (on a melee move)…like blurred frenzy on a mesmer.

That makes sense.
2 sec channel that absorbs damage and converts it into life force, as well as doing damage. How does that sound? Kinda like guard sword 3.
Frees up a slot so we can get a leap :)
