Personally i think they should simply allow the healing traits to work while in DS. I think that would make going into bloodmagic or taking the spite 13 trait much more appealing.
Might want to clarify if you’re talking about Dagger 2 (which was recently buffed on the healing front and is now rather good), or the Blood Magic traits.
I always thought that life theft should be a percentage of the direct damage that you deal with the life stealing skills, but maybe it would be too OP in this game. It just seemed like a cool idea to have a profession that could sustain itself by draining the life out of its enemies.

Dagger #2 has good healing but its cast time is atrocious, making it really hard to get off the full cast, it should work like Axe #2.
