Any plans to finally fix useless traits?
I agree that buffing useless traits is an absolute necessity in balance, or at least make so that we don’t have to choose strong traits (mesmer DE, engi IP, warrior CI) in most builds to be viable. But one thing startles me: why don’t you like fall damage traits ? In WvW it’s actually a very good choice for some professions. On my thief, I have won many fights with the extra steath and the reduced damage.
Oh, I forgot: please let mesmers have a 25% movement speed trait! RPwise, mesmers are not supposed to be slow, are they ?

Mesmers are unfortunately the only class that cannot achieve some sort of perma-swiftness/25% passive bonus, which is quite annoying.
A 8.3% movement speed bonus on mantras would be nice for example (capped at 25% of course) or some similar thingie.
Compounding Celerity is really not effective, especially beause it’s not achievable OOC and even in combat is quite hard to keep 3 illusions alive at all times (and I’m not even mentioning the fact that 10% per illusion is weird due to the 25% cap in combat )
Well, it definitely has to happen, and soon. The biggest detriment to build diversity right now is that ~75% of stuff is significantly weaker than the rest or extremely situation.
That being said, “finally” is a bad word in this context: Balance-wise, it’ll be no better afterwards. Worse, if anything. But diversity and variability go way up.
Just finished leveling up my mesmer, and I had to spend 40g to buy my sub-optimal runes of the traveler. I feel robbed.
Meh, I don’t get the runspeed hype. Sure, runspeed is the most important stat in this game by far, but I tend to be around groups.
Rather, if having reliable access to run speed is such a big deal (and it is), then:
- Increase the natural OOC run speed boost by X%.
- Make all other effects nonstacking with it. Meaning out of combat, we all run the same speed anyhow.
working as intended
