Please buff heal as one. Something simple as just reducing the cast time from 1,5s to 0,75s would make it far more usable. Perhaps making it into a survival skill even so it benefits from the traits.

This skill is never used except for the first few levels when making a new character.

On a side note, make the rejuvenation trait have a different activation requirement. Make it activate on heal instead of a 75% HP barrier with a huge ICD of 30s.

They just need to make it so it removes 2 conditions and the healing skill would become perfect IMO. A 20 second cooldown for a decent heal and good ACTIVE condi-cleanse? I probably would start taking it over Healing Spring.

Id like to see if they could change it and masters bond both at the same time. Make it so masters bond doesnt reset on pet death only on pet swap. And heave heal as one remove two conditions from YOU and revive the pet. That way a trait thats never used might actually become potentially useful. And a heal might be helpful in a way unique to the others

I used to use Heal as One a lot on my glasscannon Longbow build, since it has the lowest cooldown and the highest burst heal. But, I changed to Troll Unguent, simply because Heal as One gets interrupted with it’s long cast time. Also, Troll Unguent heals more, if you can survive for 10 more seconds. Also, you can use Troll Unguent as soon as you start taking damage, rather than when you’re nearly dead. Also, Troll Unguent can act a bit like a condition removal (at the cost of the heal).

So yeah, I won’t be using Heal as One anymore. Especially once Signet of Stone doesn’t need a trait anymore. I could just be immune while Troll Unguent takes its time to heal me up.

Some suggestions for Heal as One:

Heal as One

  • revive pet with 6520 (+1.0*healing power) health

Same as its current form, but can also revive the pet.

Heal as One

  • Healing: 3,260 (+0.5*healing power)
  • 10s cooldown
  • 3/4 cast time

Everything is halved. Cast time longer on average (1/4s longer), but can’t be interupted as easily. Perfect synergy with “on heal” runes, which have a 10s cooldown.

I think Prysin suggested it in the Ranger forums, but it’s just as Fiorrello said. If they make Heal as One a survival skill and reduce the cast time so the skill can act as a low cooldown burst heal like every other class has access to, it would be pretty good.

Personally, I’m in favor of a withdraw styled heal but we’d leap forward, evade, and gain swiftness instead of roll backward, evade, and cleanse conditions. Part of the problem with playing a ranged Ranger is the inability to reposition ourselves without switching to another weapon set (we desperately need a fast hands trait imo).

As to the heal ressing our pet, I’d argue all heals should res a dead pet. Or at the very least a trait should exist that makes our heals also res a dead pet.

So many ideas here I agree with! Heal as one should be a survival and should work with survival of the fittest and the CD reduction trait.

Furthermore it makes much more sense for fast hands to be a minor trait in skirmishing instead of a warrior trait, since I’d say we need it a whole lot more.

problem with HaO is that it’s a really boring skill from a design perspective. it’s just a standard heal, with no secondary or tertiary effects. it needs some play to it other than “press 6 when low on health for big green number”. honestly, i can’t think of any other heals this bland in the game. well, there’s the human racial one, but come on.

I’d definitely support it curing conditions. I find it slightly annoying that to survive against pretty much any condi user I need to run at least one of two grandmaster traits to keep from drowning in DoT ticks.

Reviving the pet is also good, though that’s something I feel should be baseline for us as a profession. Either let our heals revive a downed pet or let us revive our pet like you would any player, except on a much, much shorter revive bar.

The extended cast time on heal as one has always puzzled me. It seems like it was just set up that way in an older design, and never rethought after the fact. The design seems that it’s supposed to fill the role of “frequent burst heal”, making it a possibly better option for glassy specs or builds that benefit from on-heal abilities, but troll unguent is almost always better to take.

I think making it a survival skill could open up some very interesting possibilities. You would have to take specific traits to make it that good as well, so that would work as a bit of a check on it’s power. The other healing skills would still be useful in other situations/builds as well (except for water spirit, but that’s because it’s just all-around bad).

The other thing that’s been suggested before is that it should be able to revive a dead pet, which I think would make it quite unique. However, I’d be a bit concerned about how potentially powerful that could be. If an opponent takes out your pet, they’re depriving you of something potentially very valuable, but you can just revert it within a second. There would have to be some extra restrictions imposed on such a revive mechanic, such as the swap timer still being at 60 seconds even if the pet is revived.

Heal As One would make more sense benefitting from Pet related traits. Troll Unguent or maybe Healing Spring would make more sense as Survival.
