Q:
Do 2x Sigils of Force work?
No, no identical sigils stack as far as i’m aware. After the next balance patch similar sigils will stack but still not identical ones.
however Force + Night (or specific foe damage sigils) do stack with each other at this time
I can’t wait to start playing around with different sigil combos once the ICD changes go live.

Fire and Air share a CD. That might change after the next patch though.
That question was asked directly. You will be able to use both. What they didn’t say is HOW those sigils will change. I get the feeling the damage will be adjusted.
Force stacks with itself, or at least it did few months back when tested in the mists. I would be surprised if it was changed after that, but it might get changed in the next patch. I was too lazy to test any 10% sigils because that can’t be done in the mists, but I know at least undead doesn’t stack with itself so force might very well be the only one that does.

I wish ANet was more clear about these effects, just like they were with the tooltips on traits and Skills. It doesn’t make sense that the community has to do all the testing for ourselves. And not many of us know how to test them out anyway
Sigil of force only increase damage of the weapon it is on. So, if you equip this sigil on main hand weapon, it will increase damage of 1-3 skills only, and if on off hand – 4-5 skills. Equipping 2x sigil of force increases total damage output by 5%.
PS: this was tested on my thief in Heart of the Mists.
Retest that Dagins, retest that a whoooole bunch
I’m fairly certain force stacks with itself with two items. At least it appears to when I look at my character window and when swapping from no force sigil items to two force sigil items, I gain the value of the two combined.
As for whether or not they stack on 2handers – I don’t know. Don’t be surprised if they don’t, though. I really have a feeling they won’t.
Force doesnt stack with itself. I tested this the other day.
This seems like it could get us in trouble. Does the sigil’s modifier go into effect after or before an attack?
For example… a Warrior with double impact runes? +20% damage on every attack that either stuns or knocks down a foe? Or +20% on every attack after the initial stun? Either way it seems excessive.
But even if they don’t stack, impact and force would granting +15% which seems just as high.
For anyone who gets results saying force does not stack: How are you testing it? I just ran the same test i did some months ago again, still stacks. Naked mesmer, no amulet or traits, 4 vuln maintained with chain.
2 force sigils: 60-60-107 on heavy golem
1 force sigil, the other sigil slot empty: 57-57-102 on heavy golem.
Even though this will probably be changed next patch I’m curious to hear if one or several of the people saying it doesn’t stack bothered doing something like large sample size pve testing? I would be interested to hear those results.
Well i did it on necro with no vuln, traits, amulet, used steady weapons and 2 force wasnt any higher than 1 force.
I think a good test would be to find out if one force on one hand affects the skills on the other hand and all utilities.
i.e. apply force to MH weapon. Test if skills 4 and 5 and utilities do 5% more damage.
Then:
Apply force just to OH weapon. Test if skills 1,2,3 and utilities do 5% more damage.

In the “(Balance) Developer Livestream on Friday” they said that the signet apply the bonus for all the skills no matter if is equiped in the main or secondary hand. But i have the doubt if it stacks or not, and i ask the same: does it stack if we put 2 in the same weapon?
I ran the test with nec dagger too, still stacking.
I wouldn’t think I’d be getting so many conflicting results…
