This is my Elementalist.
I have 1500+ hours on him, not only that, I am a former top tier PvPer before the meta went to kitten with necromancers, stun locks, immobilize spam and petting zoos gimmicks.

These ‘buffs’ are completely UNNEEDED. Seems to be a running theme with ArenaNet and Ele’s, doing stuff that is uncalled for an unneeded.
Signet of Restoration and Armor of Earth, yeah, they needed some love.
The issue with Water Trident wasn’t that is was weak, it was to SLOW, the projectile speed is pathetic and casting on a mobile ally is near impossible and now still is!
Burning Speed and Frozen Burst, good skills, typically nothing wrong with them. WHY buff them?!
Why not buff, oh, I don’t know, RIDE THE LIGHTNING, Ring of Earth, Magnetic Grasp, Lightning Touch, Flame Wall, Fire Aura, Flame Burst, Dust Devil, Shatterstone, Lightning Surge, Traits, Utilities THE LIST GOES ON!!

You don’t need to main an Elementalist to prove ArenaNet wrong Zuik, there are plenty of skilled players already faceplaming at this and trying to get their voice out to the balance teams deaf ears.

Signet of Restoration: Removed the split on this skill so that the signet passive heal amount will be increased in PvP to match the current PvE amount. – Clearly overpowered. Now the class actually has a heal that is almost as good as other classes.
So the class doesn’t have any rights to get heals as good as other classes do? Even with the buff, we still don’t know if people would actually use it again because in this condi meta right now, Ether Renewal is the ideal heal. Maybe let’s wait 1-2 weeks after the patch comes through and reassess it after that.
Armor of Earth: Reduced recharge from 90 seconds to 75 seconds. – They obviously didn’t take into consideration the thief initiative pool. If elementalists run both the utility and the trait for proc that means a thief might only have enough initiative to steal the first protection and stability and will have to wait a few more seconds.
It’s pretty much the same right now except elementalists can have it activated again faster. If you’re only gonna make an argument for thieves, I think a good thief should know how and when to burst. Why would you burst someone with Armor of Earth up when you can just lie in stealth and wait for 6 seconds (not counting boon duration).
Water Trident: Added 3 seconds of regeneration to up to 5 allies in the radius. Don’t even get me started on this. Why should this class get all the regen? I mean if they take the water grandmaster trait this means they can remove another condition from their group after waiting 5 seconds from elemental attunement. Seriously overlooked, this class has enough sustain already and does not deserve it.
Without traiting 30 points into Water line and traiting for Cleansing water, 3 seconds of regeneration looks useless. Not to mention most scepter builds don’t trait heavily in the water line because it’s more of an offensive weapon set than a defensive one.
Burning Speed: This ability now evades attacks. – Great. So now I have to wait a second before I can hit the elementalist again. Nice one ANet.
You might want to give a better reason than that because it surely sounds like a predator complaining how it’ll take him 1 second longer to kill his #1 prey. If you reverse it, elementalists will say “Great, now I can survive 1 second longer”.
Frozen Burst: This ability is now a blast finisher. Really? So you’re just saying spam your skills and win. They don’t even have to think about how to use an AoE chill anymore because LOL I HAZ MIGHT.
As for this, I’m have to admit I’m pretty much surprised. But one thing, you need a fire field to stack might. Going into water attunement to stack up might means you won’t have your water attunement available because it is on cooldown when you actually need it for heals.
I agree that other skills should have been buffed first because they’re a lot more lackluster than the buffed ones. But hey, I think any elementalist would take any kind of buff instead of getting none.

I think the regeneration for allies should prioritize warriors before other professions, because they have such poor sustain….. O_o

you brought up a couple of good points and i am pretty concerned about those changes myself. in spvp though i think ele might not be overpowered after this, so lets wait and see. they really do need help in spvp and im glad they get buffs there.
my big concern goes for wvw though and again anet did not consider the wvw raids at all. elementalists are already the most powerful and useful light armors in wvw. not only do their aoes melt everything on the walls, even where they should clearly not be hitting, but they also can crit u for over 5k per meteorshower hit( an aoe that has no red aoe area around so u dont even know whats hitting u). then ele has lots of cc’s and the chillspam they can pull off with necros together is just ridiculous in wvw anyways. ever been chilled for 30 seconds? yeah not fun…
anet has to start splitting the balance between wvw and spvp again. warriors are out of control in wvw, eles destroy u with a few aoes, mesmers are veilbots and cant do anything else than that, rangers are unwanted, thieves crit u for 7k and can pperma stealth and on top of that anet buffed immobilie and other cc which turned wvw into a cc spamfest.
ele does not need a buff in wvw at all. their meteorshower need an aoe circle indication and the dmg for this one skill can scale way to high with foodbuffs, ascended, berserker trinkets, ascended weapons, guardleech and bloodlust.
i have 2.8k armor and got hit by 7k meteorshowers that u cant see in a heated battle.
and now the gwen meta will soon become a gwe meta, complete domination war and then ele and then guardians. mes is only there to veil(1- 2 in a 40+ man erg are enough)
balance was much better when wvw and spvp were split. it doesnt work when u balance a gamemode where u have massive battles, stronger weapons and buffs based on a small group 1v1 gamemode where u dont have that aromor, nor buffs, nor food.
remeber spirit ranger dominance in spvp? yeah it was a complete joke in wvw. u fear mesmers and all ther clones in spvp? lolz in wvw. what clones?what phantasms? ai is terribad in wvw aoe and cc rules in wvw.

Do you always say things without reading or having a small amount of knowledge on the subject? You said he brought up some interesting points as if you read what he wrote but none of these changes have anything to do with Staff at all which is the “Raid” weapon.
Evade on Burning speed NOT STAFF
Trident Regen NOT STAFF
Frost burst NOT STAFF
SOR healing was never changed in PvE/WvW and is also NOT STAFF because running SOR on staff is fail.
Armor of earth is all Eles and not exclusive to Staff and that is the only change that you could mildly point to as a buff for Staff ele’s.
You kill me with your mesmer whining all the time but you didn’t even read the OP. If you knew anything about Ele you know the OP is being sarcastic.

Anet, don’t listen to some of these trolls.. We appreciate any buff you throw to us, but we still would like to work with you to repair some of the classes biggest holes. RTL cool down moved to 25 seconds universally would be a great start.

Cleansing wave and elemental attunement should be back to adept tier. They are must have traits the only reason to move them further in their lines is to kill build diversity.
Ride the lightning nerf should also be reverted. It has been one of the biggest nerfs in the game and it was totally unnecessary.
Eles were nerfed because they were unkillable. The problem is that back then the class with more damage was mesmer.
Nowadays mesmer is one of the classes that does less damage.
Because of this, a simple revert to ele previous state would be ok. Bunker eles would still be destroyed by engineers, necromancers, thiefs, warriors, etc.

Actually they are adding the scepter regeneration to increase ele condition cleanse options. But apparently they totally forgot that Cleansing water has now iCD and that swapping to water already gives you regeneration.
I really hope they revert cleansing water nerf..

Using 3 cantips to survive is just showing you’re a terrible Elementalist.
There are two ways to buff ele:
1. Give us more condition removal.
2. Reduce the conditions the other classes spam.
ArenaNet is sadly only smart enough to understand one. When the second option is the ideal one.
SIGNET OF SPITE, legit, I love a button that puts 10 seconds of 6 different conditions. It forces the player base to forever use Lyssa runes for Stability and heavy condition removal.
The condition meta is here to stay, limiting ALL builds to carry heavy condition removal to keep up.
