Empathic Bond - less RNG
Not a bad idea, and a very small code change. If they’re ok doing something larger, I’d prefer:
Empathic Bond
Your pet absorbs conditions aimed at you.
Conditions absorbed: 1
Cooldown: 5 seconds
Stores 3 charges
It shows an icon on the hotbar with charges, up to 3. Every 5s you build up a charge, next condition applied uses a charge and is taken by the pet instead.
The only thing there though, is that they would need to do similar changes for similar traits on other professions. Icons create more information transferred, and more graphics, equalling in more possible lag.

Your suggestions would make it even better but I don’t think that is necessary. Just that small change I suggested would make it a lot less random/silly sometimes.
Another thing worth mentioning is if you have additional condi removal it can be really unlucky like you trigger the removal but just a milisecond before empathic bonds procs essentially wasting the removal. Not that bad with 1 condi/4 seconds.
On paper it would be a nerf because it means 3 condis only every 12 seconds instead of 10 but it would make it more predictable which is a good thing for pvp. Less random procs.
If we talk about icons then stuff like shared anguish should have even higher priority to be displayed.

Yeah I know, and more visual overload. And we already have too many effects and variables. Still thinking of a better way to do this which won’t just include axing pretty much the entire trait system. :S

That’s not RNG. Good condi players time their bursts to get around Empathic Bond.
Personally I think it could be cool if effects like these had some kind of UI effect so that you know precisely when you’ll be getting your condi transfers.
Ok maybe it is not RNG for the top 0.01% of condi players if they are in a situation where they can track a single target for > 10 sec.
But practically for most people and in most situation the proc will be more or less random.
