For mesmers, its conditions and speed. And I am totally fine with that because we have a lot of good strenghts, so it puzzles me when people say things like “they nerf us but they dont fix our speed or give us condition removal? l2balance arenanet”.

Everyone calls for buffs but no one admits when their class is too strong or when they need a weakness.

What is your class and what should your weakness be?

playing a warrior is Hard amirite? thats why my warrior is named “Faceroll Wynn” its amazing how my production, survivability and killing potential has gone up because I rolled a warrior.

they are truely the faceroll easymode class.

and I dont know what the developers were thinking. “hey guys lets make a class that has the best base HP, really good armor, high burst damage, High CC, great utility skills, high passive regen and great movement”

yeah that sounds real balanced.

The facts are that a disproportionate percentage of players run warriors, and it’s not because they enjoy the challenge. They’ve put pretty much the best of everything in one place, and then they pretend there’s “class balance” as if nobody can see how ridiculous the current situation is.

My professions weakness is CC and stuns and such (necromancer).

Although the intend of this topic might be ok, the posts prove that Anet was very right in creating the toilet bin of a subforum that is ‘Profession Balance’.

You are right not to take it seriously cause it wasn’t meant to be serious. Although there is some truth to it given to amount of cries I have read in the past few months. I think that the problem is with other classes not being balanced well enough. They all rely on some gimmick mechanic to get things done. Warrior is just a simple a straight forward gameplay, it’s easier for the Devs to make them a well rounded profession. If you look at the bigger picture,

Guardian > Warrior for bunkering
Thief >Warrior single target DPS
Ele>Warrior for self and group healing, group support, and AoE DPS if they can Zerk and live
Necro>Warrior Condi conditions
Any class >Rangers at anything

Almost every class can do something better than the Warrior. Maybe all those people crying nerf should take that time they spent and give Anet suggestions to make their own class as well rounded as we are then maybe we could have a balanced meta for a change.

Thieves
Strengths – mobility, dps, stealth, evades
Weaknesses – sustain, stun breakers, condition removal

The strengths can make up for the weaknesses, but sustain is so weak you’ll usually have to play hit and run.

And maaaaaan i wish i would see more thieves for cof, becuse you know … they out dps warriors.

My staff ele does. Regen every time I atune to water. Regen, Vigor, Condi Cleanse when using a cantrip, water fields, blasting my own water fields + my regular healing skill.

I’ve been playing warrior almost exclusively since launch. I learned to wreck people before Cleansing Ire and HS buff. I still use healing surge on most of my builds so that I can start the fight with full adrenaline and get a good burst early in the fight. It’s usually off CD by the time I need it to heal. And no, I will not be posting a video for you. You just keep on waiting, I’ll be roaming WvW wrecking people while you do that.

All of my classes have the same weakness, I can’t overcome and it’s terrible. I’m playing it. :/

Ele
Strengths: Ability to do a number of things with a single build, high AoE, access to a number of boons.

Weaknesses: Not able to specialize as well as any other class, bad at taking damage, requires greater management and planning, several useless traitlines and many useless utilities.

My class weakness (Ele) is not having heavy armor, not having double health bars, not being able to Stealth, not being able to work with conditions, etc… etc…

Oh and after the next patch i cant even dodge anymore.

And all my builds that would in theory still work are totally random (PU now)

I had a great build diversity. HAD.

If a Condi necro just looks at me i’m done.

But hey that’s just a small 5% of the total population that doesn’t QQ about warriors.
The remaining 95% does, till the day every weapon/trait/skill have been nerfed..

Hmm atleast every weapon did get a nerf or more for warrior.. now gogo QQ about traits and skills!!

erm ok so about mesmer:

its not just the speed and condi removal, its the nerfs that turned us into veilbots, its the nerfs that destroyed entire builds, its the non existant buffs that would help us in wvw. we need something back for wvw and tpvp and large group fights apart from veil, but no we get more useless stuff. if we discover a strong build, it will get nerfed hard immediately. we are the only class that has to use a runeset in order to have speedboosts or use focus that has a now broken and useless phantasm with it. we get defensive traits and core mechanics nerfed, but never a buff.
if war gets a tiny nerf, they get a massive buff with it. at least the devs are not making fun of your classes. they were talking about the mes like they truly hated it: hahahah purple…hahaha cheese….hahaha no clones for u…hahaha….cheeesy……hahaha

none of our bugs has been fixed!ileap been bugged for ever, cant hit oil or cannon due to overly hard los and obstructed issue, iwarden is so broken now that it does just stand there or doesnt even spawn, blinking on bridge doesnt work, decoy sometimes not working, phaseretreat glitches u into terrain or doesnt work properly, etc. there is soo many things that we simply deal with every day, but they are annoying

Necromancer -

Strength:
Conditions – though every class seems to be able to do this.
Fear – Easily countered with Stability
Health – Plenty of health, countered by low defensive options

Weaknesses:
Crowd Control – So little access to Stability is a killer
Combat Movement – We are insanely slow
Attrition – For a “attrition” class, we lack quite a lot of it
Defensive skills – We have barely any defense. DeathShroud doesn’t count – Stealth, Invul, Immunity, Mobility they count.
Death Shroud – locking us out of heals, Utility and Elite for skills that need traits to be worth using.

This is my favorite comment on the forums.

Every class does have a weakness which is conditions, condi builds can easily overwhelm you with conditions even if you have a lot of cleansing. Well, unless you’re an ele and running diamond skin, but even then if the player you’re fighting is a hybrid you’re boned.

I like that the op is one of those people that recognizes that his main has weakness, what those weakness are, and knows it is suppose to have those weaknesses.

It’s refreshing to know that people aren’t always disillusioned into thinking that it’s just another classes ‘OPness.’

As an ele, my biggest weakness is constant poison and boon strip pressure.

As a ranger my weakness is my pet, plus low dps on anything but the longbow at long range, mainly due to my pet taking care of part of the damage… and that part of the damage is a liability …
