GW1 trade offs
it would be good.
for a simple start,
we can have advanced runes that increase more way stats but decreases other stats as well.
for example,
Superior Rune of the Berserker
(1): +25 Power, +25 Precision, -25 Vitality
(2): +35 Precision, +35 Ferocity, -35 Vitality
(3): +50 Power, +50 Precision, -50 Vitality
(4): +65 Precision, +65 Ferocity, -65 Vitality
(5): +100 Power, +100 Precision, -100 Vitality
(6): +150 Power, -100 Vitality
total stats
+ 325 Power
+ 275 Precision
+ 100 Ferocity
- 375 Vitality
what do you think?

I think you need to do the math again.
It Would be funny but i think this will Show the extremely large differences in Base health Even more.
How could a Ele or thief /guard use this rune? For a Nec or warrior it Would be less of a Problem.

there’s nothing wrong with my math.
that is how true berserkers should be.
have chance to deal incredible but may die very easily.
of course, warrior and necro will have some advantage, but.
ele have access to protection, healing
thief have stealth

You just described the current system.

Well it doesn’t necessarily have to apply to a players stat increase, perhaps we can get something that’s more of an active trade off such as effect duration from skills or traits. For example the Gw1 skill “Illusion of Pain” would do really nice DoT but at the end of the skills duration it gave a base heal to the foe who had it. So the higher damage the skill did the more healing the enemy got when it ended which required very good timing. I’m sure there are other things that could be added but this is just a suggestion.
@Deimos:
Your suggested rune Has a Lot less vitality than you claimed in “total stats”
Yea thieves have stealth, but Thats Not invulnerable. ~7k HP =2 enemy autoattacks. But warriors have an advantage :-)
@ Domey
horry kitten !!!
you are right !!!
i just noticed that!
sorry about that, i edited the numbers properly.
yeah warriors will have a slight advantage with a bit more health.
but i reckon thieves in stealth might have a better chance to land the first hit in stealth.
