But how about equalizing it across the board?

You mean every profession except necro has access to endurance regen/vigor?
Also, mitigation is done through different things. Guardian has access to aegis. Elementalist has cantrips and mobility for pure invulnerability or untargetability. Mesmer has a finger in evasion and another finger in stealth. Thief has stealth. Engineer has blocking and invulnerability, Warrior has high health pool along with cc to prevent themselves from getting hit. Endure Pain and Berserker Stance are also mitigation. Necromancers have Deathshroud and high health forms.
If everyone had equal access to endurance, should everyone not also have equal access to mobility, evasion, invulnerability, stealth, and blocks?
Why would we want every class to have perma evades?
Every class has a method of defense. Thieves have evades/stealth. Necro has Deathshroud and overall tankiness. Guardians have blocks/blinds/invulns. Warriors smash their face against the keyboard.
Adding MORE tankiness to certain classes would just be idiotic. Some classes rely more on evades than others. That’s a good thing, it increases diversity between classes. It also helps keep certain classes’ defense levels in check.

Ehrm.. you probably didn’t understand, whipe out endurance gain trough traits sigils and that vigor buff and make endurance gain equal across the board where you will have to use skill to actually gain endurance, iow. use skill to get endurance.. Skilll.. the one thing this game doesn’t ask from it’s players.. skill.
but ok.. i get it, less skill wanted.

*And another person that mistakes stealth with invulneability…. *
Every profession has its own strength and weaknesses.
Ofc it would be nice to make everything skillbased and have as few auto procs / condiremoves / condi applies as possible, but this would hit a lot of players out there, mostly the pve bobs – thus it will never gonna happen.

I apologize, Elementalist really does have a lot of access to invulneability stealth.
Also, technically every profession except Necromancer, Ranger, and Warrior (unless you count SoS and EP) has access to invulnerability. (Yes, invulnerability and not stealth.) Although some professions get more of it than others (namely the two I listed in my list of damage mitigation).
If you meant the other way around, that would only be referring to Mesmer which has 0-4 seconds of invulnerability in any build, which is true, but they also have more access to stealth than invulnerability (unless we’re talking about old, old Blurred Frenzy).

How can thieves get invulnerability? I hope you did not count the invulnerability skill that thieves can steal in pve from pirates (since it is not available in WvW or spvp). If you include that every profession can get invulnerability since the elixir of heroes is always near pirates…

I agree, people shouldn’t confuse stealth and invulnerability with each other.
Now, if you’re talking about me referring to the Drink, I was going off of access to pure Invulnerability as stated by the wiki. In my original post, which you called me out on initially, I had not even talked about Thieves utilizing it as one of their sources of damage mitigation for the reason that it’s not available in all access of play.
Also, Elixir of Heroes is a bundle and not an innate skill, otherwise everyone profession has pets, mortars, medi-packs, leaps, portals, portal leaps, stealth, easy swiftness, and more.

True but i would still say that thieves having invulnerability is far fetched since it depends on enemies that you only find in the pve world.
Balanced Stance, Berserker Stance, and Endure pain when used together will prevent your health from dropping, versus indefinite stuns, conditions, and damage spikes.
Technically you can strip the stability and CC the Warrior, but don’t forget that commonly, invulnerabilities are guaranteeing you are self CC’d, and not contributing to capture points. Read: Mist Form, Elixir S, Renewed Focus.

I dont know what game you play, but in the gw2 i play a thief does not have any form of invulnerability…..
To be fair, while stealth is not at all Invulnerability, it does provide complete immunity to over 50 profession skills in the game (majority on Necro and Mesmer). I had made a complete list at one point. I’ll see if I can’t dig it up again.
EDIT: 55 skills according to my Google search for the post. Still can’t come up with the post itself, oddly, as the link from Google doesn’t have the post I’m after, but it does have some of the text O.o

If someone sets themselves up somehow to not have any kind of hitboxed attack/AOE/cleave at all to deal with a stealthed target or multiple foes in general and does nothing to sustain during this period of inactivity, they really do deserve to die, in all honesty. That’s just being unprepared for a very large portion of the game’s content.

To add something to the list, i main a ranger and run an evasive build, can “dodge” attacks up to 4 times before bothering to use my endurance to dodge. Every class has its own mechanic and it would not be a good idea to tone them all down to 1 level.
