Yea like the title says, i’ve got an ascended rampager weaponchest and an ascended rampager armor chest and i don’t know for what i should use it for. Im starting to get a mesmer to lvl 80 and thought about using the gear there. I don’t think i want to use it on my warrior, since im happy with zerk on that one. The mesmer would most likely would be played in WvW. Or should i keep it for a Necro or something?
Just tell where that stat combination is a common, viable and used option. Btw it is strength, precision and condition damage.

It goes well with any full zerk condition build on any profession in WvW or pve.
just trow em in your bank and see what builds come around next patch..

dont. you will always be strictly better off with assassin, zerk, celestial, rabid, carrion, or dire.

all 3 stats have better gear than that combo that can fulfill the same build requirements.

basically, for rampager to be an ok stat combo for engi, you need to have some ferocity so your crits arent wet noodles. we only get that from the tools line. that line is only conducive to bursty power builds that have very little condi output, very bad for hybridized damage. explosives utilities will leave you without much in the way of defenses, so going full glass (and not zerk for pve…) isnt a very good choice. firearms has more precision, which you dont really need because you get a lot from gear, so youll crit a lot but not for big numbers…

its just a really bad mix of stats.
if condi guardian was viable (ie… if they could spam more than just burning), some kind of glass might stacking rampager build might work there since the 3rd line is toughness/ferocity and going past about ~200% crit damage isnt really all that good of an idea. but thats a kittening stretch to say the least.

I thought on the weapons, Tequatl gave Rabid…

ranger works well with rampager.

Ranger sb, and axe both have hybrid components. Especially SB seems favored towards hybrid.

Tequatl’s Hoard gives a rabid ascended weapons chest with a slightly exclusive skin, but you can also get a weapon chest that’s only 1 stat. For example, I’ve gotten Berserker’s , Carrion, Dire and Valkyrie.

Horrible advice.

Just use the ascended gear for the skins to transmute, and use an exotic berserker piece.
