Guild Wars 2

I have been playing a guardian for a year now i have every Professions but Thief and Engineer to lvl 80. What i am starting to think is why would i use my guardian when there are warriors that can do so much better in most ways.

DPS
Warriors pure DPS is far better and there conditions are 10x better though i get the feeling guardians aoe dmg would make it a bit more equal but not by much at all.
Tanking
Guardians can live for long with healing and the trait retributive armor also makes them having even more toughness quite good but for tanking Warriors have a build that can reach 30k hp and they still do considerable dmg (or so i heared) also they can block.
Healing
there about the same in a way Warriors can use shouts/banners while Guardians can use symbols and shouts/meditations.

I could go on forever about Guardians after all this time but still Warriors seem to have a lot more going for them over all in my opinion though am i no where near as knowledgeable when it comes to Warriors.

Also this is my guardian build its dps with meditations hammer/mace+touch i change some traits to fit the mace+touch when need be(that would be when i want to heal with symbols and the mace faithful strike). This build had hardly ever let me down i can happily pve and roam, zerg, or work in a small group in wvw.

You’ve been misinformed. There’s no way you’re getting anywhere near 30k hp while maintaining decent damage as a warrior.

And why not play both? Play one or the other when the mood suits you.

My guard is dps speccd and he can out live my warrior any day.

Both are very very good in the current meta and with the impending class re-balancing, who’s to say what the best one will be to play. Just play what you like most. I never got this whole rerolling thing… I find a class that has a mechanic, abilities and traits that I like and that allows me a game-play that I find entertaining and then stick with it.

On-node a well built dps guard will always beat a warrior, the main reason for the warrior meta is the immensely low skilled pvp scene we are currently in.

When esports happens expect to see dps guards replace warriors.

never underestimate DPS guard.

but for WvW other from zerging Warrior>Guard, it got so much variety in builds that you never get bored with it.
