Well it only stacks three times at least, im just glad it doesn’t stack 8 times like a lot of the other conditions XD! Thief immob did get nerfed a little in the patch and they added a little anti immob!

But yeah immob is strong!!!

It stacks because a while back, thread after thread of posters demanding they change it because posters complained that they hated using their cleanses, then immediately being immobilized again.

It is not too strong in the least. it is there to prevent kiting. If you wish to avoid it, learn the tells to it or carry skills to counter it.

There’s the problem when you get a really long immobilize and you get condi bombed at the same time, so you can’t cleanse it and you’re stuck without the ability to dodge for the entire duration, which is brutal to something like an ele, who needs dodge to cleanse.

As a player who plays an ele, I can tell you that we have other cleanses beyond simply dodge roll. Think you got it bad, play an engie or mesmer for a while.

We also ask the very same questions ourselves every time we play the game! Then we always come up with the answer “anet balance”. Then we stop asking why.

It was a silly change but it’s never going to be reverted. Most likely Anet will eventually introduce more immobilise removal skills into the game when they realise what they have done.

If you scroll back a bit theres multiple 100+ post threads about this you could drag up if you really want to debate it. 90% of people in those threads agreed that its dumb, but if the population of this game isnt intelligent enough to have utility skills unlocked below level 10, I cant imagine we would be intelligent enough to know anything about balance.

Honestly its ok the way it is now. Lots of classes have so many ways to disengage at lest immob is one of the ways to stomp them.
