LoW would be a good utility skill if it were toned down to 10% with no cast time and maybe even no base heal. They could then buff and fix divine intervention and move it to healing skill (make predictable teleport, buff heal amount a bit and reduce cool down a bit).

the heal was so incredible high because the devs activated their meditations in combination with the trait that heals you for using a meditation.

Active and passive healing. Apples and oranges.

Your passive almost heals in 3 seconds what an active does.

then there is the unholy sin against game design that is Healing Signet.

Healing signet has 1 1/4 cast time. You have no idea what you are talking about.

Leaving the signet on passive far outstrips using the active is what he was probably going for, which is quite true. You cannot stop the much better HoT of the passive.

Then it doesn’t count. It is a passive not a active.

The sole qualifier was that it heal while being immune to interrupt, which is exactly what Healing Signet does. Neither your desire to keep the games cruise-control warrior builds nor your opinion that it isn’t overpowered (which I won’t dismiss) change the fact that it is completely contrary to how ANet has claimed they design and balance healing skills.

This is a Necromancer skill. Necros lifesteal. Necros also have the AoE to get good mileage out of this. Instead, we get Signet of Vampirism, and you get stuck with it, instead of a better heal. What can you do? #ANet

I can’t conceive of a worse idea than giving guardians lifesteal. I honestly can’t actually think of a single thing that anyone could add to guardians that would be in any way dumber than lifesteal.

It’s not just the fact that no guardian is realistically going to be dealing 22000 damage within 6 seconds (what it takes to match the healing/second that you would get with signet of resolve), but also the complete 180 turn on the theme of the guardian.

I mean… have the devs actually played a guardian to level 80? I’m just not seeing how anyone with half a brain who’s played a guardian would actually implement something like that. I figure the devs are trying to not just add in a new best heal for every class, but LoW is more of a joke than anything.

It worked fine for me. It’s just a different way to use heal. It’s just kinda meh since you don’t wanna use it if you aren’t traited for meditation.
