I think Ranger is in a good spot for damage output because his damage is on range. Check the profession forum

Obviously dual dagger thief with maxed deadly arts and critical strikes, berserker-scholar gear. You can jump out of kitten nowhere and one shot people, if timed correctly. For WvW you can use 15 stacks of might from signets, but in sPvP don’t bother with it.

Either what Dagins said, or burst signet ranger.

Either one will be quite strong.

I’d suggest using a slightly more tanky ranger setup, because it will still rock peoples socks.

It may seem weird. But that build will be decent against conditions, it will have 3x heavy bursts (dat raven can easily crit for 5k on a heavy golem, IE: warrior/guard, when using Signet of the Wild and RaO). It will also have ridiculous damage from AA spam (my suggestion. Use QZ with AA and dun use it with RF. The AA alone will destroy an enemy when it got that refire rate)

All the classes.

I have an 80 of everyone (except ranger, but obviously glass rangers are great now) and I play all of them pure glass cannon builds. Spvp, pve, wvw. Glass is life.

glass builds i enjoy:

scepter/focus ele
medi guard
static discharge engi
power well necro
power ranger to some extent.

though the true die-hard builds are ele and engi.

Chain up to 4 ccs in a row if you do it right :P

Thief for the best disengage in the game.
Lb ranger if you prefer sniper style.

assassin staff fire ele, 10k hp but you melt EVERYONE (unless they look at you XD)

6/4/0/2/2 (2 in water for 10% dmg ove 90%hp, 2 in arcane for Blasting Staff, 4 in air for arcane lightning, use scholar runes for another 10% dmg over 90% hp)

- Step 1: be at 1500 range
- Step 2: Press number 2
- Step 3 : activate both endure pains when you’re getting bursted due to your inability to dodge
- Step 4: Enjoy and think you are skilled

Oh and even if you get downed, you have a second chance! Because ranger downed state is balanced.

Not to mention the easiest PvP rotation ever for any profession (with the possible exception of turret Engineers)

S/D Engi is pretty fun. Many different variations to it. Incredible how much a mine field can do if used right. Plenty of cc.

Zerker Necro is great. Dagger auto and Life Blast hits hard. Wells into Death Shroud. Burst with Lich Form is still fun. And most zerker necro builds have decent life force generation so it has a bit more survival than other glass cannons without the need of investing stats into it.
