Make all shouts audible
I want to hear “Retreat!” so i know when to leg it
i thought all warrior’s shout are very audible.
guardian’s shout are not?
I think it would be better if we just had clearer indications of which boons are active. Maybe adding more border effects to show important boons or just larger/floating icons. I’m not sure how many people actually listen and pay attention to shouts. Also, if you make them audible to both sides (friend/foe) it can cause confusion in groups fights as to which side cast what.
Eh, my Guardian definitely shouts 100% of Retreat and Stand Your Ground. I got those two equipped.
To you, yes, not to other people.

Oh. Never noticed that. Can we please have that for all shouts then? The constant yelling is slightly annoying.

Given that it grants Swiftness, it should be called “Charge!”. The reason why I assume “retreat” was chosen was because of Aegis, but really, it makes the most sense to use a +speed and +1 free block skill when running TOWARDS the enemy.
As for shouts being audible, I think it makes more sense for Guardian shouts (a Support class) to be audible to all. Warriors are cool and stuff, but +3 Might or 1 free condi cleanse isn’t as important as +Stability or +Protection.

Well if the game was real life, retreating would benefit from having swiftness too. The only reason you don’t feel like it’s useful, is because death in this game isn’t so scary since you just revive on a waypoint, so it makes more sense for us “players” to use it offensively. The story and all the skills however were meant that we’re in that world, without real reviving, otherwise no npc would die. And so escaping death with swiftness and aegis would make sense for the “characters” in the game.

It makes sense both ways. Therefore, since retreating is never an option for a real man, the shout should be “Advance in Another Direction!” It’s better than just “run away”, with “advance” being closer to “charge”.
