Q:
Most played class in the East?
My guess would be Elementalists.
Class popularity depends a lot on strong archetypes and the Warrior/Paladin archetype is very heavily embedded in western fantasy/RPGs.
The little I know about Eastern culture is that they have an uncanny obsession with scantly clad young ladies. And Elementalists suit that appeal very well.
They play not this game
True, Its not in the top 10, (LoL,Aion,B&S ect…)but i wonder what if it would be.
There is no eastern GW2 release yet.
But I would imagine, its still Warrior-Guardian-Thief …… As a asian myself, I always prefer melee class, there is no concept of magic in the eastern fantasies. Much of eastern fantasies are more or less focus on martial arts of some kind. Since gw2 is very action oriented, warrior and such fits well.
I would say a Mesmer.

Not sure if ‘nerd’ is meant as an insult or compliment, but ‘all classes’.
hmm i am from malaysia, i play warrior mostly.
as for my casual guild full of fellow malaysians like myself, errr i think we have many warriors, guardians.
we have some dedicated elementalist players.
we have players that play many professions.
i think majority would be warriors, guardians, elementalists.
My hardcore korean friends play the classes that either have high risk for high reward or classes that are complicated. Ele, Engy, Thief, Mesmer.
The asian players I’ve met along the way have always been very severe min/maxers. They’d reroll without a second thought to any class that had even a small fraction of an advantage over the other classes regardless of the investment required or lost.
I imagine we’d see the same thing in GW2 and the exact same meta we have here will show up there.
How do Europeans approach the game? I imagine they’re all hammer trains as well?
