[PVP] Corrupt boon and Might
True, it makes very little sense that Weakness isn’t opposite of Vigor, with the endurance regen part.
I think it’s mostly a word thing. If you aren’t mighty you are weak. Makes sense from that standpoint. But necros would go from the weaker side of balanced to wildly OP if this happened. I play a corruption necro and it feels about right right now, this change would get necros nerfed as hard as dhuumfire did.
When this is about logic, yes stacks should be converted to stacks and vice versa.
But considering balance, this is simply impossible.

I thought Necros need buffs? And since “boon/condition control” seems to be the theme to a Necro’s utility, this might just be the indirect buff they need to be taken serious for their main utility?
Necros already hit the bleed cap pretty fast torment would be better.
I’m sorry that your “I win” button vs guardians and eles is not completely overpowered…

No, a Necromancer will never hit the bleed cap on their own.
Also, a single skill being able to apply 25 stacks of bleeds is too much. Having the weakness scale up in duration might be good, but that is all I’d do with it.
Sry but no , weaknes is to important for necro , sometimes when i am under big presure from warrior its just better to conver even 1 might into weaknes just to nut be killed and even change the fight.

Yes but OTOH Vigor would become Weakness.

warriors will not have vigor unless they are using warhorn or they got vigor from allies.
and as a casual warrior player, i do not mind 25 might being corrupted into 25 bleed, and vigor corrupted into weakness.
having some hard counters are good.
Warriors like Vigorous Stances trait and at least 50% of them run triple stance.

Let boon corrupting like it is now , weakness is way better for us than some extra bleeds.
If necro needs a boost i think you’v to look somewhere else than in his damage , check the state of necro from djooce , if you wan’t to discus about necro changes.
What SHOULD happen is corrupt boon should get unnerfed to more than 5 boons like before. The whole boon-hate thing has not really panned out well. There is nothing to fear for a guardian when popping “Save Yourselves”

Necros need quality of life improvements, I think. Buffs to utility and support and survivability but not damage. If this change was 1 might stack = 1 bleed stack, I would be popping 20 bleeds on people constantly because of the strength runes and sigils and whatnot. If they changed it to X might stacks = 3 bleeds I could see it, but I’m not sure it needs to be changed from vigor being converted to bleeds to begin with.

Well, good!
Now add a similar way to handle stacked Might to 1-2 more classes (Thieves remove Might for instant damage, Rangers have a trap which turns Might into Weakness and Immobilize), and add PvE mobs which turn Might into Bleeding, and we just might see a very player-controlled end to the endless 25-might-stacks-at-all-times.

Good for players looking for ways around the mini might meta, bad for necros who will almost assuredly be ruthlessly beaten with the nerf bat afterwards for spiking huge condi stacks.
Unfortunately this is the PVP community we’re talking about. If the change did take place there would be no sweeping adaption, just a wave of intense complaining from the Elementalist battle-stack crowd and guardians. To the point we might even see said classes simply drop Tpvp matches when they notice a necro on the other team.
Logic wise it makes sense, balance wise it’s tricky and grey.

I’m still thinking this would be better. Sure there will be cases where someone has 20+ might but with this change they wouldn’t spec so far in might. If they do spec too much on might well too bad if you can’t handle some bleed stacks. You can’t simply have everything.

Luckily, you’re not the one balancing the game.
Idk why necros are complaining about might stacks.. on a logical base weakness is the opposite of might and not bleeding.
On the other hand strength runes are a popular choice for power necros too and not only for ele thief or warrior. You can maintain 10-15 might stacks and spike even to 25 stacks if you take the utility skill. Maybe cond necros would be happy about pvp noble runes but oh wait… they rather stick to cheese nightmare.
Ya, anyone being able to instantly stack 25 stacks of bleeds with 1 button is broken. Even thought Necromancers have awful bleed stacking, the people who can stack 25 bleeds on their own still need to use multiple skills to do so.
Might and boons in general need to be looked at, but that definitely isn’t the way to do it.

Corrupt boon is instant cast, 1200 range and unblockable. There is no way to outplay that. You can get a lucky dodge, but that’s about it. The only way to adapt to corrupt boon is to not use boons. That isn’t really an option for most ele builds. All the boons eles have really just evens the playing field. Even without a sigil of battle, eles have fire fields and blast finishers. Guardians can’t exactly do their job without boons either.

Actually its a projectile effect , thus a pile or rocks or shrubbery will have a tendency of stopping it. Also you cannot cast it while casting other skills.
Tho it is true that a buff build (which arent the only option for ele nor guard, tho the most popular and easiest to use/the nubstick/chun lees kick spam compared to a chained double akuma combo with hit confirmations) is very much ruined by corrupting their boons.
