Guild Wars 2

Pets have some serious issue regarding damage or survivability in dungeons and in world vs world. Lots of profession such as ranger (animal companion) enginer (turret) and necro (minions) suffer from having their pet build not behing able to pull their weight in a fight so here are some solution to solve that problem in a somewhat easy fashion without breaking everything down.

1. Make pet physical damage scale with player attack power as the tooltip pretends to. and reduce pet base damage by a serious 30% to compensate the gain.

2. Make pet armor scale with player thoughness and reduce pet toughness by 30% to compensate the gain.

3. Make us able to have multiple ranger pet on the field when using rampage as one as a grandmaster trait (limited but efficient damage burst).

4. Transfer several trait such as signet of the beastmaster (ranger) to their respective pet trait tree and merge some pet trait togueter to leave space for them.

5. Give the enginer turret back their condition damage or make them scale with the enginer power, right now people only use rifle turret because of the toolbelt skill in a static discharge build.

6. Give the pet a serious damage reduction from AOE effect (like 70%) so to make them actualy viable in boss like Alpha wich cover the map in red circles.

7. Give player a trait or make it default so that pet are invulnerable when the masters dodge, minimum would be to give them aegis (you can already proc ranger pet protection on dodge why not aegis?)

While i do agree Pets AI cant be improved further (ive played a thousand game with pet mechanics and Guild wars 2 AI is in no way worse then anywhere else, im actualy most apreciative of how the pet use its list of spell and dont constantly auto attack) we can still improve the pets and summon elsewhere to compensate for the lacunes of artificial inteligence versus player.
