lol its solo Que don’t Expect much beyond Winging it , in that game mode.
taking out hammer and a good ranger Requires some form of team work.

hammer + imbo ranger (is defo a set up to watch out for there won’t be any escape) only way out is to focus the ranger then be in the Rock and a hard place Situation , where then a team mate is needed to break the Rock so it can’t bash you anymore.

Problem its Solo Que:p don’t worry too much.

I think he was asking to nerf power rangers holding the canon on craphammer :o)

I want a rifle for my ele , so i can play counter strike with friends aka no scope rifle 1N1 wars.(possibility to grow esport,support me by donate some millions )

He means players are characters on skyhammer map and the devs control the hammer.
When something is bad for the game they press the nerf button and the “nerfhammer” nerf to the ground whatever they targeted !

but ranger or other character want to hold hammer in skyhammer, they still hold it
hambow war with fea, necro fear chain, engy, thief, dont make any difference, they can hold hammer if they want

Maybe you should L2P. I play a “power ranger” and get countered a lot. Hey, I hate engi’s and their bombs so anet can you nerf them. I dont like mesmers and their clones, nerf them. I dont like guardians, nerf them. I dont like necros cause they fear me, nerf them. I dont like thieves cause they stealth, nerf them….. I could go on but I learn to counter them and sometimes I win, sometimes I dont. I dont cry on forums about them being OP or useless. Team Blacklisted has a power ranger on their team who are in the TOG so should they remove him cause he is useless? Your post is irrelevant because you put zero thought into it. I really hate engis and their bombs. I really do but I deal with it. Your mad because NOW you have to deal with a ranger where you didnt before. Rangers add a very different dynamic to a team fight and you need to learn to counter them just like EVERY OTHER CLASS. If you dont like them in pvp you can go do Karka or Jormag or fractals.

Ranger lb damage is not op but its to much reward for very little effort. It the same with turret engi in competitive play they are not op but it can carry a bad player hard. Good players should aviod these specs because the skill ceiling is low. Though bads main them coz it allow them to not be useless.

PewPew-Rangers are now one of those classes that attract many new players in low- to mid-tier PvP, especially SoloQ. Thought process is like “I can do lots of damage from range and have an invulnerability—signet! I AM GOD!” Well, yeah. For about 6 seconds. Then you are dead.
I’d say, the class itself is not overpowered and has its uses. It is great for denying any sort of retreat because pew pew, can’t outrun my longbow. It is “nice” on the temple map because you can use all those high ledges. And it has some nice spike damage, can’t argue with that. Therefore it is actually quite good for focusing down in team fights, as long as they position themselves cleverly. Because otherwise they are dead. And, of course, they’d actually need to participate in a damage focus, which does not happen in SoloQ. Ever.
Problem is, according to some players, it attracts certain people. Those, for example, who stand on a ledge, never change their weapons and are easily pulled down by magnet, which is pretty much a death sentence. Or people who continue to do all their pewpew-ing despite seeing a god kitten guard wall right between them and their target, pretty much killing themselves. Like the Bearbow, they have become a synonym of bad play, therefore people don’t like them.
LB ranger need good positioning to be effective. They need to be played cleverly. You basically need TS and a good team composition more than with most other classes. You don’t get these things in Hotjoin or SoloQ. Just like turret engis, they are not op or broken, just on average, they are annoying. Really annoying, no matter what team they are on.
I’d say the problem is, that there is no way to learn these things and get experience and skill aside from playing PvP. A bad longbow ranger will not stay a bad longbow ranger for long, because a bad longbow ranger is mostly dead. Turret engis are more of a problem, because they can be bad and still be carried by their build. Maybe some sort of non-ranked soloQ for people to try this crap out would help?

It’s incredible that everyone seems to have taken one look at this post and started spewing L2P comments out. Am I the only one that understands that the the op is complaining that that the buff to longbow rangers is saturating his soloqueue matches with bad longbow rangers? The op in no way feels they are op, but rather feels they lack the skill and/or utility to be beneficial to the team, and instead waste a slot on the team that could’ve went to a better player/profession.

Lol don’t. A ranger literally spent 3 minutes AA me from the edge while I was standing on the fort node the other day. Easiest win ever. If you add the rapid-fire-in-reflect-skill-suicide rangers, these new foes overall added a lot of fun content to our dull soloq routine !

They are, every single game ! But I still think this flavor-of-the-month build will loose its appeal eventually, I do not think that is something to worry about.

Like all things GW2, This too will pass.

I Think the whole game needs a shake up in pvp. Team stacking, same ole comps and meta teams is boring me. Win or lose is still much dependent of the player skill but the game needs a shake up and a few new somethings!

New maps

New game modes

New classes/Race

New weapons. – torch, torch would be awesome! Or hammer of Engi!

Those are the terribads the OP is talking about. Not all LB Rangers play like that.
Although I do agree that the influx of people who think, “Gee whiz, I can plink plink 2 plink plink and win!” is making people hate ALL Rangers…even the ones who faithfully played the class before the buffs.

Yep. But scrubs like me never get to fight good rangers : their Glicko is much higher than mine.

No, people just can’t handle losing and don’t like to learn. Straight pewpew rangers get kills but lose matches (excepting when they’re just countered).

There’s really no room for blame on ranger players, not even bandwagon riders (which I still say are tapering off now). If anything people that would lose anyways should be thankful for the commonly accepted excuse for why they lost.
