Ammo Roulette: Pistols and Rifles sometimes fire an extra shot. These shots are affected by traits that add effects to rifle and pistol skills.

I would love to see something like this, it would help the Engineer class offset the imbalance we find between the Warrior rifle and the Engineer rifle damage output.

Am I missing something here? Engineer does more damage with the auto attack, does more damage with a Blunderbuss and 2 auto attacks than a Volley channel, has a better CC skill and Jump Shot does almost the same damage to Kill Shot except faster casting.

Engg definitely has better burst and better AoE potential, but I feel a warrior has better sustained damage overall. It depends who you go up against.

Additionally, most of the hard hitting abilities for the engg rifle are melee or near-melee range. A warrior can inflict everything from potentially 1200 range, wheres an engineer will need to get at least in the 400-ish range to maximize the output of their rifle.

Those bleeds on the warrior’s rifle are no laughing matter either, although I can understand why people value the direct damage more.

Still, I don’t think giving a chance for extra shots is a good idea. Potentially doubling the already high damage on the rifle auto attack could be insane, and things like double net shots, double static shots, double blowtorches… could be ridiculous.

Either that or the trait would simply be too unreliable to be worth anything.

nothing wrong with engi pistol or rifle….but obviously i’d love the occasional extra shot. would need to be a grandmaster major/minor trait (depending on proc % chance) of course
