Something which needs to be re-evaluated is how melee and ranged weapons are balanced in PvE.

The current system in place uses risk vs reward balancing. Essentially because melee has a harder time reaching its target and puts itself in greater risk when fighting compared to range, it is given more damage.

This system, which applies to all game variants, is fine for PvP but is flawed in PvE, especially in dungeons, where the risk of attacking and attack up-time is often close for both ranged and melee, making ranged weapons that follow this balance model sub-par in all encounters except those which you cannot effectively melee due to special mechanics.

Furthermore, one could argue that fighting in melee range is actually less risky to do because players will always be in range of support skills, combo fields, and reviving players.

Either the difficulty of attacking in melee range needs to be brought up, or ranged weapons need to be buffed according to the difference in difficulty.
