gw2 could use more ability and weapon buttons to press on the bar. I suggest something like this…

*#1-10 would be used for individual or multiple weapon skills.
*f1-f4 mechanics bar
*f5 heal skill
*f6 aoe/team heal skill
*f7-f10 utility skills
*f11 &f12 elite skills
*a 3rd weapon swap option would be great as well.

why swagger?

-more abilities should be “up front”, not hidden behind swaps, and streamlined so it is easier to pick up and play any profession. remember, the more professions and builds people play, the more money you will make anet. think of all those players buying more bank slots, bags, weapon and armor sets, crafting mats, seeing the log in and play rate timers shooting through the roof… if you made playing the various professions more accessible (and balanced too!).

-currently there are too many build limitations and too much reliance on swap and long cool down management because of the way the combat bar was designed.

-a players skill level is determined by their ability to be a swap, twitch and long cool down timing master, not the skill of “at hand” choices to determine outcomes. the current set up is not good for the long run and will only limit your options to develop and balance professions down the road.

-would provide some desperately needed depth through more active options for professions and combat gameplay. players like options, even if they say they don’t. the “don’t” crowd will thank me later when this is implemented.

-it won’t kill players or be too much to handle to have 8 more buttons on the bar.

-you can reevaluate the F keys and possibly make less unnecessary swapping happen there too by spreading things out more.
