Hello anet devs and players, firstly i’m sorry for my english. I hope you can understand me

I played 2300+ rated arena games with different classes, my main is necromancer.
Many players says engineer op, mesmer op, elementalist op, guardian op, warrior op, ranger op it looks every classes are op.. i can say “healing abilities” is main problem on pvp. Ofcourse we can talk about class skills but that talks will never end. You can find my list below if u think about class skills without that list u’ll see all problems will be solved.

- Elementalist water skills have insane healing skills

- Warrior Healing signet have massive regen

- I can accept bunker or supporter Guardian regen-heal but berserker guardians almost same healing abilities.. Exam. Meditation heal

- Thief also have too many “dodge heal” always same, u hitting a thief until %10-20 health then he doding twice and going to full health or he using safe house for same thing.

- Everyone knows Ranger regen, they was worst but still have powerfull regenaration

- Engineer can put 2 healing turrets! that regens-heals-water fields are too many

I’m just trying to say " you should think about defense-attack balance" if players are choosing to heal-def gameplay they shouldnt high attack or same for reverse.

You’ve missed Warrior’s banner regen!

Elementalist can do some waterfield+heal and blast that fields, obtaining a large amount of heal, yes. But during that you can stop the ele with some CC skills, use poison, or dps him, making all that skills only a aste of time.

Warrior can obtain a lot of good regeneration ability (3 different regeneration source) but that’s not the problem against a warrior. Good dps can kill a warrior, because the warrior Need to take time to heal, if he use the signet. If you focus in 2 over a war, he die quickly because he can’t use a healing skill.

If you strip away meditation heal from a guardian you make them good only to be bunkers, crushing all the ANet work to make the guardian a viable class. There’s a reason why if you don’t use a bunker build you NEED to use Meditations: Why in berserker you have 12k hp and no healing ability!!!

I’ve never had problems against Rangers why they’re Regen… really… you can say that they have too many ranged dps, minions, or other things, but not that they have all that regeneration power. Not more than all the other classes.

Healing I’d not the problem. It is nice not to have everything purely damage centric. The OP did nothing as far as I could see, that gave an explanation that justifies calling healing a problem

The thief does not have “too many” heal on dodge( In fact they have none) There no way they can dodge twice and heal fully from 10 percent health.

They have a HEAL utility that also has an evade but that goes on cooldown when used and is a relatively low heal.

I’ve never had problems against Rangers why they’re Regen… really… you can say that they have too many ranged dps, minions, or other things, but not that they have all that regeneration power. Not more than all the other classes.

Rangers have signet of the wild plus perma regen boon from a GM trait. Together it is 300-400+ hps. If rangers spec for regen/bunk they are very strong. In fact it still is, always has been the strongest Ranger build. Its just that everyone is excited by bows at the moment.

IMO, the main problem is mostly shared between classes and is this:

  • sPvP exists and is often focused on for PvP discussions.

It should have really been a separate game. With the small team size, it’ll be very difficult to make skills feel powerful so you want to use them in larger scale fights in PvE and WvW, yet at the same time they are not overpowered in sPvP.
Considering how large and – apparently – popular those two “main” modes are, and how – again, apparently, no hard numbers on this – sPvP is such a niche game mode, I really feel it’s holding balance development back by continuously forcing this “50/50 chances”-paradigm, and for no good reason. Few enough players playing it, should not be the focus of balance.

The strength of heart to face oneself has been made manifest. The persona Carighan has appeared.
