They have a recharge time too high and duration too low if compare with the Spirit of Renger or Minion of Necromancer.

A bit crudely put but mostly true.

When they die – and that does happen quite often – I am exposed and unable to deal any reliable damage until the very long cooldown expires. The sword is fine but the other weapons take very long to re-use. To the point where, when they all die, I am not really able to contribute anything.

Ok, I give you a few small suggestions. I underline things that are absolutely necessary.

Hammer
increase damage 30%
cooldown between attack reduce 6 to 4
Duration: 20s to 30s
recharge: 45 to 30s

Sword
increase damage 30%
cooldown between attack reduce 2,5 to 2
Duration: 30s to 45
recharge: 30s to 25s
Command (sword) Range: 130 to 750

Bow
cooldown between shoots reduce 5 to 4
Duration: 20s to 30s
recharge: 60s to 50s
Command (bow): add remove all conditions

Shield
intelligent positioning of the shield near PG
reduce the size of the shield…similar to Sanctuary
Positioning faster
Duration: 20s to 30s
recharge: 60s to 50s
Command (shield): add vulnerability

The biggest offenders of spirit weapons that makes them feel a bit underwhelming:

1. Spirit weapon AI
2. Spirit weapons dying if you use their skills while not trait for Eternal Spirit
3. Spirit weapons health

I don’t think I need to elaborate much since most people will understand what I’m saying. In particular though, spirit weapon AI is horrible especially on the shield and bow. Since they are both defensive weapons. Nothing is worse than seeing them run after a enemy target. Shield will often run after someone then proc its protective bubble with no ally around, bow will follow enemies but do nothing. Its horrid.
