[PvP]The Necromancers
Necros weren’t strong before the Dhuumfire patch. A number of large buffs were made in that patch, including the addition of Torment to the game. Dhuumfire has indeed caused the most issues of those buffs, but we really weren’t any good for PvP before then.
Necros were one of the worst classes pre-Duhmmfire.

This is completely wrong, necros who couldn’t combo and bleed bomb weren’t good before. Good necros were still very strong, bad ones where useless.
Only time it was sort of MEH was during the 2/3x triple cantrip ele meta.
Acandis you are totally right. If anet just would have had the kittens to revert the dhumfire and never added the bleed nerfs, necros would have been in a really good spot now especially with the DS functionality changes that were made aswell.
And warriors woudln’t have gotten the ridiculous healing signet change +8sec zerk immunity, still think they should have let warriors be after they introduced the 4sec condi immunity zerk +cleaning ire change for a few more weeks/months to let it settle in among players before buffing healing signet..

So wrong, bad necros where the worst class pre dhumfire, good ones were just as good as most other classes.

Necro power builds were really bad before the dhuumfire patch (in that patch the 30 soul reaping trait was added). Now while still not strong they can be used.
I am not sure if it was the dhuumfire patch or some other patch but in the past mm necros were also bad.
Necros had only the condition terror build for spvp. And without a other condition spec it was easier to counter, as condition necros couldnt spam different unique conditions to protect the bleeds.
Yes it wasnt weak but most of the time other professions could do a similar or even better job.
In fact i believe the main reason for taking a necro over another profession was signet of undeath and corrupt boon and both skills are nerfed hard.
I think we should wait and see how the next balance patch changes things.
lol, Typical Anet balance logic. Lets buff Necros and give them Bumfire. Fire too strong, lets nerf bleeds to balance it out. Fire still too strong, lets nerf more conditions to blanceit out. Fire is still OP, OK lets nerf Bumfire. Now conditions are too weak, lets lgive them OP bleedsto make condition builds viable again, bleeds too strong, lets nerf poison to balance it out. Bleeds still too strong, lets nerf fire to balance it out. Bleeds still too strong, alright lets nerf bleeds. Condition builds are too weak now, let buff poison and on and on it goes.

Before dhuumfire/torment patch I would say that Necro was easily the class with the highest skillcap, that’s why the good necros were really good, and the bad necros were really bad. I’m not surprised at all by the feedback I’m seeing—specifically those of you who think necro was bad before that patch.
Right now necro is out of hand, it’s got possibly the lowest skillcap&floor, because of how dumb the dhuumfire trait is (it’s getting slightly better, but it’s still going to be too strong), ow broken torment is, and how mindlessly easy it is to be efficient with MM builds.
I’ve seen many people make the suggestion of moving Dhuumfire and Terror to Curses Grandmaster tier. I don’t know why that hasn’t been done yet, though I suppose it’s easier to keep kittening up a class rather than admit you were wrong.
tl;dr; move dhuumfire & terror to Curses grandmaster, revert all the bleed/weakness nerfs.
While i mostly agree with you..
I wouldn’t go as far as saying necro has the lowest skillcap&floor, that spot is held by warriors in a firm grip !
Do this because I want it, that is actually this way, no youre wrong because Im right.
