[PvX] Gust
1/4 isnt exactly long. all whats need is more reliable hit rate.
instant cc are cancer. look at decap engi!

The only reliable use of Gust in a PvP environment is to prevent a Rez or a Stomp. It works really well at doing this.
Don’t even bother pressing #3 when in Air if such a situation is not nearby.

Gust
Problem: Doesn’t work
Solution: Make it work
The projectile should hit more reliably, that’s it. Same problem with Shockwave and, although they aren’t projectiles, with Fire Grab and Lightning Touch.
I don’t think instant casting is a good solution for a lot of problems, because it removes skillfully playing and counter-play. Just look at decap engineers.
If anything, I wouldn’t mind a slightly longer casting time, if a more reliable projectile hit was effective enough to justify it.
Just having the projectile move faster would make this much better. The only time I tend to get it to work is shooting it at a group of people running at me or hitting somebody that just ran into a static field. Cast time is whatever in my opinion. It is the projectile speed that would make all the difference.
Either make the gust much faster or widen the projectile effect area. If it wasn’t so kitten narrow, it could help account for minor variations in enemy movement. Right now, any tiny little sidestep causes the thing to just fly right by.
It might make it easier to hit multiple people if they made it wider, but I don’t see why that’s a bad thing.
In my personal experience, the animation for Gust takes so long that the target can move all over the place in the meantime, and THEN it still has to travel to the target. It feels as if other, similar skills on different weapons have a much faster casting animation.
I’m pretty sure the casting animation is normal, it’s just that the skill is so slow you can practically outrun it. It might have a significant aftercast as well, and I hate those.
As it stands now, it’s just one of the fifty things I throw behind me while running away, and probably less effective than lava font at helping me escape/gap create.
