So a while ago, I saw a thread about ranger pets being op. I for myself had always the impression, that not only the pets were op but the ranger itself. For testing I took my level 33 ranger to one of the hardest places in gw2… yeah you are right eotm. I know what you are thinking: what?!! eotm?!! without ascended gear and only level 33?!!!

Almost the whole zerg wiped but me and a three others who I protected. And yes, there is also a BEAR still walking. And do you know how they died? They were killed with arrows from above.

Arrows from above… yeah that’s right! I think some rangers were hiding and shooting with their longbows killing a whole zerg. The only obstacle was me, an other ranger.

So pls nerf the ranger, it’s about time.

ANET is smart and only does nerf to the OP classes… Rangers and warriors get slightly nerfed every patch and every other class gets some buffs. It means that warriors and RANGERS are op. If you still cannot decide which one is more OPed then think about bears. They can get into water…

They are much stronger than the ac attack but if everybody knew this, they would be nerfed immediatly. so they build fake acs to blame the damage on them.

And the bear was dead? yet still walking? what’s next? zombie bear in water?

I don’t play ranger, nether have a ranger character and i can say that is not even close to be OP.

We have this topic since a while. Even Allie responded! And what ANET did? Nothing I’m telling you! It’s time to protest against the OP bearbow ranger again.

Every time I see an armoured bear or guinea pig lurking around I have to log out for a few minutes because my hands are shaking in terror and it’s no good for my mental health (my therapist said…).

such trolls everyone knows Bearbows do jack, and to get thaqt many down it would take more than a few rangers but a army of rangers . and if you stood there in ac fire + ranger barrge fire Expect to die in a trove. use reflects and get out of there.. an unorgonised zerg in eotms the horror..:p that was the perfect trap.

Bumping this, hopefully devs can see that bearbows are broken. The bear is unkillable , it has like 40k HP and the ranger can shoot arrows from 3000 range.

How can people complain about hambow when bearbow is so much stronger?!?!?

Must’ve been a secret Longbow buff, because everyone knows Ranger Longbow is the most useless, weak, and terribad weapon in the game, in every situation and for every possible reason except “Well, it looks cool and Rangers should use bows.”

A small part of me wants to insist that we should keep the forum content serious, helpful and concise.

ANET, please, I just feel too powerful on the battlefields, it’s just like I go out, give my enemies that “Blue Steel” look with my longbow in hand, and all these things just start keeling over in front of me. There is no satisfactions in winning so easily all the time, how Am I supposed to win fame and glory with such an easy class?

My problem is that I go to another class and get killed right and left, and usually decide that it’s not worth it, returning to my Ranger almost immediately.

I need help.

I prepose an intervention group: Run From Rangers – Providing help for those addicted to the ease of the Ranger class everywhere.

Not just downed but annihilated. On top of that, we’ve deduced from the image that there’s a lot of arrows falling on the bodies… coincidence? or OP long bow.. you decide.

Maybe they get down by 1 ranger and 50 LB Warriors with Arcing Arrow or 5 Rangers and 100 stealthed thieves or by 4 players + a lot of Npcs with Barrage.

Every group of people – not important which class – can be deadly for a group, if everyone use aoes.

@thalionsir: right? well, my main is or soon was a necro. but everytime i encounter a ranger im as good as dead. there is only running or dying if you encounter a ranger. but sadly i can’t get invisible with my necro. Maybe mesmers or thiefs stand a chance in running away, but with most other classes you are kittened

I usually send my bear pet into a whole zerg and see it wipe, if only i could make him stomp so i could get some war points for my world, so selfish…..

The irony is all the survivors are rangers there, because they are standing back using their bows.

Range is a pretty good defense.
