Ranger[PvP] to help power builds
10% would be seriously OP. Thats much higher effectiveness than healing sig for warriors, which is already a problem. A barrage and rapid fire attack would give you way more healing than the standard healing skills on a much shorter cooldown.
And we already have a feature in the game for that with life steal, which can be added to any weapon.
you would make it worthless for non power specs then. How about you buff its base value instead and slightly tone down the scaling off HP?
ranger allready has the strongest self healing in game. i dont see a problem with the healing. the power scaling and distance keeping is the problem.

IT SHOULD be worthless to non power specs..Cause its stupid to have it just for the passive…The non power Specs take it and never use the active….
In power specs tho it will be good to use it with Signet of Beastmaster when you dont take so much dmg

No because as I said we already have the same effect with life steal. Life stealing as a skill is essentially necromancers ability, not a rangers.

I would say that Ranger has a lot of access to some self healing traits-traits and regen.Is it enough altho?Hambow Warriors are able to take Zerker amulet and be tanky enough cause they have a strong (passive) healing skill, it doesnt requires healing power investment and it takes only one healing slot…
In Ranger you must try to combine a lot of defensive traits-skills to be close to a what healing signet can do..
I mean running 30 points in BM traitline for Natural Healing(it doesnt scales with healing power), you must probably take Natures voice and Guard to keep 100% uptime regen and Signet of The Wild for another 64 hp/s..Without a clerics gear you wont get any close to what a Healing signet warrior can do…And with Cleric you lose about 70% of dmg

I got this idea from LoL.Essentially the only way for the ranged AD to survive and stay in teamfights is the lifesteal…They have some ways of escaping, avoiding skill shots but you will no doubt take some cleave dmg..Escaping also means that you also do 0 dmg..So there must be a way to take some healable dmg from cleaves in order to deliver as much dmg as it needs to kill the target..
Ranger did use to gain health from pet attack in guild wars 1. It was called predatory bond or something and it healed ranger for about 23 per strike (on a 600 hp bar)
I perfectly see this signet as a effective source of healing but the gain should be reduced to about 3% of the ranger hp (aka 80 to 100) per pet strike.
The current passives stats are insulting.

But I think something like that should be a trait, and leave the signet as it is.
Changing the signet will nerf to the ground all roamer BM specs, which will be very bad to rangers since it’s one of the only viable specs in wvw.

Power players don’t use the passive
“Signet of the Hunt” needs a rework of his passive too. I think the 50% additional damage can be very powerfull and I don’t think Anet will increase Ranger’s coef damage with it like that.
“Signet of Stone” and" Signet of Renewal" are good but they can receive some love.
“Signet of Stone” is clearly not the better immunity skill… and with “Signet of Renewal”, sometime you have to waste a stun breaker to clean condis or the opposite…
Back to the topic, yes signets are in the power line but they should not be exclusive to power builds. Yes, that change could help power builds but it will nerf BM builds…

Maybe by adding also condition dmg into the 10% lifesteal..A 600 burning will heal you for 60 hp/sec, aint bad imo…

In Power builds with Signet of Beastmaster trait the passive feels worthless
In cond BM builds the active feels worthless..Its the casting time and the unreliability of the pet that does it..

10% is high. 3k crits with longbow aren’t that unusual so healing for 300 a second on top of ungent and regen is a bit much don’t you think?
Just make it heal the Ranger for as much as it heals the pet.
Would be nice if it broke stun (since it gives stability) and had a half second cast time though.
Would also be nice if the class didn’t need 30pts in traits to warrant using 90% of their utility skills.
